Job Description At Carlsbad Educational Foundation (CEF), the Enrichment Instructor will be highly skilled and have the ability and capacity to teach students a given specialty by immersing them in hands-on enrichment lessons. Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and challenging lessons aligned with the curriculum standards and objectives of the assigned psychology courses. Meet the diverse learning needs and abilities of students, including those with special needs and English language learners, through various teaching methods. Assess student learning through various forms of formative and summative assessments, providing timely and constructive feedback to support their academic growth. Implement effective classroom management strategies, maintaining a positive and orderly learning environment conducive to student success. Collaborate with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary units, share best practices, and align teaching strategies across grade levels and subject areas. Stay updated on developments in the field of psychology education, including new teaching methods, educational technologies, and relevant research. Participate in professional development opportunities, teacher meetings, and school activities. Fulfill other duties and responsibilities assigned by the school administration. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or a related field; master's degree preferred. Valid teaching certificate/license in secondary Psychology (or equivalent). At least two years of teaching experience at the high school level within the past two years, demonstrating effectiveness in teaching psychology. Familiarity with various teaching strategies, assessment techniques, and educational technologies to support student learning and engagement. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, able to collaborate effectively with colleagues, students, parents, and other stakeholders. Job Description: The teachers primary responsibilities and qualifications are listed below. All teachers report to their site administrator (s). The teacher is responsible for the development and performance of the courses they instruct. The teacher will foster a collaborative and stimulating classroom environment for a diverse group of students, as well as foster a strong collaboration between parents, faculty members, board members and community partners. Responsibilities: Develops lesson plans according to the CA CCSS and CA State Content Standards Fosters a safe and nurturing learning environment Organizes classroom system/procedures and manages student behavior to ensure all students are fully engaged in learning Establishes an environment where students are excited about learning Builds strong relationships with students and parents Identifies student areas for improvement and is able to work with the student and family and internal resources to suggest options for improvement Provides continual assessment of student progress, maintain student records and complete assigned paperwork in provided timeframes Collaborates with the Educational specialist and other staff to meet the needs of all students Attends and implements professional development training throughout and beyond the school year Demonstrates support and knowledge of schools goals and mission Participates, attends and plans field trips Participates in school events during, before and after school Attends and participates in school based meetings and activities Qualifications: Must possess a current California teaching credential Bachelors degree from an accredited college or university Masters degree in subject matter field or Education is strongly preferred Meet all NCLB requirements At times this job may entail lifting, walking, sitting and standing for periods of time No new employee can begin employment until all local mandated trainings are completed and the fingerprints cards are processed by the California Department of Justice and it is determined that there is no criminal conviction that would prohibit the employee from working with students and staff.

The Kindergarten Teacher is responsible for conducting the daily classroom program to meet the individual needs of each child in the school. Teachers create lesson plans and teach those plans to the entire class, individually to students or in small groups, track student progress and present the information to parents, create tests, create and reinforce classroom rules, work with school administration prepare students for standardized tests, and manage students outside the classroom, such as in school hallways, detention, etc. Monitor and takes responsibility for classified personnel and volunteers working with students. Promotes parental and community involvement & conducts parent conferences. Participates in all components and areas as specified by the Soboba Tribal performance standards. Under direct supervision of the Preschool Director, the Kindergarten Teacher will participate in the planning and operation of the Preschool Program. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Although other duties may be assigned, the essential duties include the following: * Establish and maintain effective relationships with adults and children. * Work with individual and small groups of children. * Maintain acceptable standards of behavior among students at all times. * Plan and organize to meet fixed schedules. * Perform assigned tasks with minimal supervision. * Work cooperatively with those contacted in the course of work. * Maintains clean and organized work environment. * Plan, evaluate, and assign lessons. * Teach letter recognition, phonics, numbers, and awareness of nature and science in accordance with the California Common Core standards. * Prepare, administer, and grade tests, listen to oral presentations, and maintain classroom discipline. * Introduce children to mathematics, language, science, and social studies in accordance with the California Common Core standards. * Use games, music, artwork, films, books, computers, and other tools to teach basic skills. * Use play and hands-on teaching. * Grade papers and perform other administrative duties as needed. * Create projects designed to enhance lectures. * Stay current on topics in education. * Develop lesson plans. * Utilize various curriculum resources. * Integrate competencies, goals, and objectives into lesson plans. * Utilize curricula that reflect the diverse educational, cultural, and linguistic backgrounds of the students served. * Develop incentives to keep participants engaged in classroom activities. * Develop professional relationships with other agencies and programs. * Utilize public library resources. * Work with program coordinators to ensure initiatives are being met. * Establish and communicate clear objectives for all learning activities. * Prepare and distribute required reports. * Observe and evaluate student's performance. * Ability to communicate with parents and/or guardians regarding children's progress EDUCATION * Bachelor's Degree in Education required * Teaching credential preferred * First Aide Certification EXPERIENCE * 1-2 years' experience working with children in an educational setting QUALIFICATIONS Ability to take delegation of work assignments and to follow direction and works well with others. * Provide superior customer service skills * Ability to work under pressure conditions * Relate incidents to director of staff, parents or community concerns * Understanding the Indian cultural and community * Meet the general needs and behaviors of the Indian children served * Use correct English, grammar, spelling, punctuations and basic mathematics * Basic safety rules, habits and principles of first aid * Physical stamina is necessary for dealing with children and may require standing for several hours at a time * The operation of standard office equipment REQUIRED * T.B.
