Emerson Williams Elementary School has an opening for a Math Tutor. We are looking for a motivated and dedicated professional with superior communication skills to provide student intervention support for the 2025-2026 academic year. The Math Tutor will work across all grade levels (K-6) to support students with direct, targeted intervention/instruction to promote student growth toward grade-level expectations and goal mastery. Responsibilities: * Implement daily lesson plans for students targeting individualized support in reading and/or math; * Work directly with students to provide targeted small group/one-on-one instruction as well as routine push-in support in classrooms. * Provide students with positive feedback and encouragement; * Support student understanding of math and literacy concepts and demonstration of fluency skills; * Track and maintain records of student progress; * Collaborate with classroom teachers to support student needs through small group instruction, communicate goals/achievements, progress, student challenges, and changes in interventions; * Foster a positive learning environment that is sensitive to student needs and promotes increased learning performance; * Provide the building reading consultant, curriculum specialist, and classroom teachers with regular reports of student progress toward learning goals.; * May be asked to substitute for another staff member during instances where there is no other substitute available Qualifications: * Hold a minimum of an Associate's Degree; * Elementary Teacher certification is preferred, but not required; * Enthusiasm for helping children; * Respectful/collaborative attitude; * Ability to manage plans and drive positive results; * Patience, flexibility, and adaptability.
