Position Summary
The Third Grade Reading Teacher is responsible for delivering rigorous, standards-aligned literacy instruction that ensures all students develop strong reading comprehension, fluency, and writing skills. This teacher will play a key role in supporting students as they transition into upper elementary expectations while contributing to Trinity's collaborative, student-centered school culture.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver high-quality, engaging reading instruction aligned to Oklahoma Academic Standards
Actively engage in Santa Fe South's coaching model by seeking, receiving, and implementing feedback to continuously improve instructional practice
Internalize lessons with fidelity, including preparing materials, rehearsing instructional moves, and aligning to content team expectations
Collaborate regularly with grade-level and content teams to analyze student work, plan instruction, and ensure strong alignment across classrooms
Use data to plan targeted instruction, interventions, and enrichment to meet diverse learner needs
Establish a structured, joyful, and inclusive classroom environment with clear academic and behavioral expectations
Build strong relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Qualifications
Required:
Oklahoma teaching certification (or eligibility) in Elementary Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
Commitment to Santa Fe South's mission and the students and communities we serve
Preferred:
Experience teaching literacy in grades 2-4
Strong knowledge of evidence-based reading instruction and interventions

Position Overview

Create a nurturing and stimulating classroom environment for preschool-aged children
Implement age-appropriate lesson plans that are created for you
