What You ll Do:
See sample teacher schedules here. A student school day is around 8-8:30am to 3-3:30pm, depending on the specific school. Teachers' days shall begin no earlier than 8:00 a.m. and end no later than 5:00 p.m. on any given workday.
Project Time: Teach 90-minute blocks in high school or four 55-minute blocks in middle school, per day of project time. Most teachers teach one course for the entire grade (e.g. 9th Grade Biology), and see each section twice per week. Teachers offer students deep learning experiences that develop cognitive skills and apply their content knowledge to real-world situations. Teachers facilitate discussions in the classroom, coach students in applying their cognitive skills, and give students feedback. Summit teachers build lesson plans through a deep understanding of student progress data, which determines the group and individual supports needed for their students to succeed.

Daily, teachers meet with their mentor groups, work on habits of success as a group, and check in one-on-one with their mentees. Position Summary
Mathnasium of Klahanie (Issaquah, WA) is looking for an exceptional Math Tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. Job Responsibilities
Provide exceptional instruction/ tutoring services to students
Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
Teach in-center, online, and/or via hybrid delivery using the Mathnasium Method, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting

Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment

Terms of Employment

This is an adjunct faculty position contracted on a quarterly basis. Placement on the faculty salary schedule will be commensurate with educational background and experience. The salary listed is a range based on per quarter. A collective bargaining agreement exists, and this position is covered by the Association for Higher Education (AHE). Flexibility is required to meet the needs of the department. Evening and/or weekend classes, instruction at satellite Olympic College campuses, and off-campus assignments including travel to clinical sites may be a part of the instructional load.
