SUMMARY OF ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
We seek a dedicated elementary school teacher who puts student growth and achievement at the center of their practice. The teacher will blend evidence-based teaching methods with innovative approaches to nurture students' intellectual growth while supporting their holistic development.
The team teacher will serve as a member of a teaching team that works collaboratively to take collective ownership for all student achievement within their grade band. Team teachers will each lead a homeroom of students but will work flexibly with other team members, support staff, tutors, and more to collaboratively reach goals for students across their grade band.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION: Bachelor's Degree required, Master's Degree preferred
LICENSE: Must hold a valid Indiana State Teacher's License in Elementary Education (K-6). Must be deemed Highly Qualified in accordance with the Indiana Department of Education
PREFERRED EXPERIENCES:
Completion of Early Literacy Endorsement
Experience working in a Title I school or with a similar population of children
Experience implementing restorative practices

Frequently assess and document student skills and growth across academic, social, emotional, and behavioral domains
Utilize common assessments and shared data systems across the team to evaluate student learning and instructional effectiveness

Meet and communicate regularly with team to collaboratively own student achievement
Participate in shared communication systems, including posting assignments and plans and inputting real-time data in a timely manner
