Willamalane operates a variety of part-time and full-time preschool programs. Classroom Management:
Demonstrate strong skills in classroom presentation and management including excellent organizational skills.
Engage strong interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, parents, and community members from diverse backgrounds and ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
Willingness to build and maintain an environment for students that emphasizes community and is structured for engaged student learning
Able to collaborate with learners to establish and monitor elements of a safe and productive learning environment including norms, expectations, routines, and organizational structures.
Responsibilities to the School Community and Charter:
Responsible awareness and implementation of school charter and policies.
Attend school events as required by the school.

Child Information and Evaluation:
Participate in the Individual Education Plan (IEP) process. Including referral, intervention, and planning phases as needed

Evaluate student performance in accordance with systems used by school; promote student achievement; maintain required student records; make related reports to the School board.

Position Summary
Mathnasium of Eugene is looking for an exceptional math instructor/tutor to create an engaging and productive learning experience for students. The ideal candidate is a bright, passionate, and dedicated professional with excellent interpersonal, mathematical, and instructional skills. All applicants are required to take a math literacy test to demonstrate math proficiency, provide work authorization, and pass a background check. Following hiring, the new team member is required to complete (paid online) training in the Mathnasium Method™. This is a part-time role with flexible hours between 5 and 20 hours/week.
Job Responsibilities
Provide exceptional instruction/tutoring services to students
Participate in positive interactions with parents and establish a high level of confidence and program value
Become proficient with digital educational materials & processes
Teach using the Mathnasium Method™, terminology, and teaching practices which include individualized instruction in a group setting
Assess students' progress throughout instructional sessions, and work collaboratively with team members to deliver the best possible experience for students
Evaluate, grade, and correct student work and homework
Support the maintenance of a clean & professional learning environment
Assist with non-teaching/instructional tasks as needed
Qualifications
A passion for math and working with students
Excellent interpersonal skills
Exceptional math competency through at least Algebra I
Ability to balance various ongoing tasks
Willingness to learn and be trained
Priority consideration will be given to applicants with experience teaching in a Mathnasium center
