Peer tutors are viewed as academic student leaders and are significant contributors to the Albright community. Peer Tutors provide motivation for learning while working with students through their academic course needs. As members of the Peer Tutoring staff, tutors will work on an individual basis or in a small group sessions to review material with students requesting tutoring support. Tutoring support needs include, but are not limited to, answering questions on course content, providing review and feedback, studying/creating study material, providing writing-related skills, practice and preparation work to aid in the mastery of course content. Peer tutors work a set schedule in the Peer Tutoring Studio for 4 hours per week including required paid training and staff meetings. Hours may increase by 1 -2 hours per week for high-need courses.
