Primary Duties
Math Center tutors assist with answering students' math questions on a drop-in basis. Students who visit the Math Center may be enrolled in classes that range from Introductory Algebra to Differential Equations, with the majority of students being in College Algebra.
List of Job Duties:
* Ensure students sign in and sign out to help keep track of traffic in the Math Center at different times and days throughout the semester
* Work alongside another instructor and/or student hourly to answer students' math questions from a wide range of courses
* Submit bi-weekly timesheets to report hours worked in the Math Center, as well as leave requests for any absences that occur
Required Competencies
Math Center Student Hourlies should have a strong understanding and fluency of mathematics and its notation, ranging from basic math to Calculus. They should also have the desire and ability to patiently communicate math concepts to others, including those who struggle to learn math.

As a part-time instructor in the Mathematics Department, you will provide instruction in all levels of math, including developmental and/or transfer levels.
You will work individually, as well as in collaboration with colleagues, to develop an innovative curriculum which meets the needs of our diverse population of students.
