We are looking for passionate educators who truly want to inspire a love of learning in those they teach and who work hard to ensure that students are engaged and excited to learn! Sylvan Tutors: Greet students and initiate instruction to personally engage each student Instruct students according to the design of the Sylvan programs Manage students, tasks and time to create a balanced and robust instructional session Evaluate and record the progress of each student on their assignments Use praise and positive reinforcement to ensure students are engaged and inspired to learn Communicate specific student needs to Center staff Flexible hours are available and there is not any prep work that needs to be done at home! Tutors do not need to meet with parents, develop lesson plans, or collect payments from parents. Sylvan is open on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 4-7 and on Saturdays from 9-1. We are looking for someone who is able to work at least 2 weekdays.
