Teacher shall attend parent/teacher conferences and be available after school or on Saturdays.
Teacher shall attend open house for prospective parents, if assigned.
Teacher shall be available to chaperone and/or organize school activities, such as school dances or fundraising events.

Easterseals Learning Academy is located at 110 County Rd 400 E, Germantown Hills, IL 61548. It is approved by the Illinois State Board of Education as a non-public private facility serving students aged five to twenty-one years. School districts contract with Easterseals Central Illinois to assist in providing an alternative school placement with specifically designed instruction for children who have a primary educational diagnosis of Autism, intellectual or multiple disabilities. Instruction is centered on evidence-based practices and the curriculum is aligned to state learning standards. All of the programs and services provided emphasize an individualized approach to education that meets state and federal mandates with the goal of preparing students to transition back to their schools and communities and lead successful lives.
The Learning Academy is designed with a high staff-to-student ratio, fully equipped classrooms, and therapy rooms, evidenced-based instructional strategies that empower each student to achieve peak academic performance, increase social and emotional skills, communication skills, and functional life skills for independence. Student services include integrated therapies and related services including speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, physical therapy, Applied Behavior Analysis, and counseling. All are provided to students as determined by the IEP team. A specialized curriculum and an intensive approach to educating students are used to meet the specific educational, developmental, and emotional needs of each student.

EVALUATION:
Each employee in contractual continuing service shall be evaluated at least once every two (2) years. Each employee not in continuing contractual service shall be evaluated once every year.
Physical Demands
Handle work which deals mostly with people, objects, equipment in a general setting; depth perception and field of vision are important. Employee regularly is required to bend, stoop, twist, turn, reach, lift (up to 50 pounds), carry, pull, push, climb, and kneel; walking and standing approximately 50-75% of each shift. Employee must recognize differences in sound, such as voices/noises that are loud and playful instead of angry and combative; ability to differentiate tones and volumes in conversation.
Mental Demands
The Teacher must ensure that children are supervised at all times, and that children are involved in safe and appropriate activities. There may be a number of situations happening at once, and the Teacher must be prepared to handle accidents and emergencies at any time.
