Essential Duties and Responsibilities: * Supervise students in tutorial programs, study halls, and learning centers. * Must be able to identify the early signs of a learning disability in students. The Tutor must work with the school and parents to facilitate the process of testing for students with disabilities. * Monitor and assist students and provide support, guidance, and direction for academic retention. Students will be referred to the tutoring program by school officials, parents and by the Advisor. * Assist students with proper study techniques. Must be computer literate and understand the curriculum/information from school-based programs. * Must be able to work within the public schools of the area. Follow the security requirements and maintain a positive working collaboration between the Tribe and the school. * Assist the JOM staff with planning the summer curriculum. Supervise and monitor students in the classroom and on special trips.
