Psychiatric and Acute Care setting experience also satisfies requirements. If assigned to one of the acute care psychiatric facilities CNA must have working knowledge of the concepts of mental health, related physical conditions and best treatment approach. Experience with pediatric and adult patients. Good standing with the WV Nurse Aide Registry. Education Required: Certified as a CNA in West Virginia. State-approved training program completed. Program must be accredited by an entity recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - American Heart Association (AHA).
