About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Director of Franchise Learning & Development to lead the design, execution, and ongoing evolution of Mathnasium's franchise training and adoption strategy. This role is responsible for ensuring franchise owners and their teams are equipped with the tools, knowledge, and resources needed to successfully implement company initiatives, operate effectively, and deliver strong student outcomes.
Partnering closely with executive leadership and cross-functional teams, this position drives learning programs that support operational consistency, initiative adoption, and long-term franchise success. The Senior Director also leads the planning and delivery of learning experiences for Mathnasium's bi-annual convention and other key development events.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the end-to-end strategy and execution of franchise training and implementation initiatives.
Design and deliver training programs that enable franchise owners to effectively train, lead, and develop their teams.
Drive adoption of new tools, systems, and company initiatives through structured implementation and reinforcement strategies.
Develop scalable training resources, toolkits, and playbooks to support consistent execution across the franchise network.
Oversee the Learning Management System (LMS), ensuring content quality, usability, tracking, and alignment with operational needs.
Partner with executive leadership and functional teams to align training initiatives with business priorities and KPIs.
Lead curriculum development and execution for Mathnasium's bi-annual convention and ongoing professional development programs.
Manage and mentor a training team, fostering accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
Measure training effectiveness through participation data, adoption metrics, and feedback, and continuously refine programs.
Support in-market and live training efforts as needed, including travel to field locations.
Skills & Experience
The ideal candidate brings a strong combination of training leadership, implementation discipline, and franchise operations understanding:
Bachelor's degree in Training, Education, Organizational Development, or a related field
5+ years of experience leading training and implementation efforts for multi-unit or franchise organizations
Proven success driving adoption of new tools, systems, or operational initiatives
Experience managing training teams and large-scale program rollouts
Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills
Data-driven mindset with the ability to measure and improve training effectiveness
Proficiency with LMS platforms (Docebo preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite
Working knowledge of adult learning principles and change management practices
Experience in franchise, education, or service-based organizations preferred

The Police Trainee is a non-sworn, probationary position. The incumbent will remain a Police Trainee for the duration of training at a police academy. At the approval of the Chief of Police, the Police Trainee will be appointed into the classification of Police Office upon graduation from the training academy and completion of the probationary period.
DISTINGUISHING CHARACTERISTICS
A Police Trainee receives training in law enforcement and police methodology through a POST certified police academy to prepare for promotion to the classification of Police Officer. A Police Trainee is placed on a probationary period of no longer than six months during which the incumbent will attend a POST-certified intensive Regular Basic Course (training academy) that has been approved by the department.
A Police Officer must have successfully completed the Regular Basic Course at a POST-certified police academy; carries a firearm; patrols the college campus; apprehends and arrests suspects; investigates unsafe and hazardous conditions; provides first aid; responds to requests for assistance and reports of crime; investigates incidents and prepares appropriate reports. A Police Officer is placed on a twelve-month probationary period during which he/she must complete the POST-Approved Field Training Program.
Upon successful completion of a POST certified Regular Basic Course and the probationary period, the Police Trainee will be appointed to the class of Police Officer.
SUPERVISION RECEIVED AND EXERCISED
Receives immediate supervision from POST certified academy training staff while attending the police academy. The Police Trainee is also under the supervision of the Chief of Police.
No supervision is exercised over other positions.
WORK SCHEDULE
40 hours/week, 12 months/year

Salary
Starting salary is from $4,652.31 to $5,129.15 per month depending upon education and experience. Fringe benefits, which are subject to change pursuant to negotiations under Section 3500 of the California Government Code, are presently provided and include family and domestic partner medical and dental, two-party vision plan, and employee life insurance.

Definition

* May direct and support facilities, information technology services, and other district staff, with set up and breakdowns, including tables, chairs, tents, barricades, staging, and other event equipment for events.
* Assists with the development, implementation, and establishment policies, processes, and procedures for applicable area(s); monitors and evaluates program, operational, departmental, and/or service quality; may recommend, develop, and implement quality improvement assessment tools and/or methods with administration and/or regulatory agencies.
* Assists in the development and implementation of short- and long-term strategies and plans, including the program review process.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in early childhood education, child development, or a related field.
Three (3) years of preschool teaching experience, including two (2) years of experience with infant/toddler programs.

* Valid permit as a Child Development Site Supervisor issued by the California Department of Education.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide effective and concise math instruction using the
MATHNASIUM
Method~ Assist in tracking the progress of each student ~ Contribute to the creation of an engaging and productive learning environment.
As a part-time Mathnasium Instructor, you will be trained on the Mathnasium curriculum and teaching methods. You will provide personalized math instruction in any of the following elementary Math through Pre-Algebra, Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, College Algebra, Statistics and Calculus.
Schedule:
This is a part-time position varying from about 6 to 25 hours per week, depending on the programs you are able to instruct and your availability.
Flexible work hours are in afternoons and evenings (Mon-Thurs: 3pm-7:30pm; Sat: 10am-2pm)
Compensation:
Compensation will be based on education and experience.

Mathematics competency based on Mathnasium skills assessment (You will be given the assessment)

Other Qualifications:
Passionate about teaching mathematics to children of all ages and the ability to communicate that passion to students and parents ~ Experience working with children between the ages of 5 - 17 ~ Generally available during operating hours with the ability to handle a flexible schedule.
