Designed for Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate Students pursuing degrees in Computer Science, Civil Engineering, GIS, Ecological Services, Construction Management, Planning, Environmental Services, or Landscape Architecture, the program offers hands-on learning guided by experienced managers and directors across a variety of projects.
Through a combination of planning, design, data analysis, and field work, interns gain a 360-degree understanding of how technology and innovation shape real-world solutions. Students specializing in computer science and artificial intelligence (AI) will have the opportunity to apply programming, data science, and machine learning techniques to support water resources, watershed modeling, and environmental analysis. Projects may include developing or enhancing predictive models, automating workflows, and using AI to improve decision-making in environmental and engineering applications.
During the internship, students will gain valuable experience using tools such as Python, MATLAB, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Bluebeam, ArcGIS, and other software relevant to their discipline and responsibilities.
Education and Experience:
Must be enrolled in a degree program closely related to Computer Science, Civil Engineering, GIS, Ecological Services, Construction Management, Planning, Environmental Services, or Landscape Architecture.

This fulltime role focuses on evaluating and remediating digital assets to align with WCAG, ADA, ADAAA Section 504/508, and related accessibility standards.
Responsibilities
Conduct accessibility evaluations of websites, web applications, PDFs, online forms, portals, and other digital assets using automated and manual testing methods.
Develop practical remediation recommendations, including prioritized issue lists, technical guidance, and user-focused solutions for design and content teams.
Collaborate with project managers, developers, UX designers, content authors, and public/private staff to integrate accessibility into digital projects and ongoing workflows.

The Senior Paleontologist will work as part of a dynamic team that is based in Southern California but includes staff members across the United States. Stantec Paleontology is one of the largest paleontological mitigation programs in the country, holding numerous statewide Bureau of Land Management and project-specific United States Forest Service and National Park Service paleontological permits. Our team includes over 30 paleontologists, including field technicians and directors, fossil preparators, and principal investigators. Stantec supports a wide range of paleontology projects, from multi-state transmission and pipeline projects to road improvements, solar fields, private development, and more. We offer support through all stages of permitting and development, including preconstruction surveys and assessments, construction mitigation programs, and fossil treatment. Our Monrovia, California and Denver, Colorado offices include fossil preparation workspaces, with museum-quality preparation equipment.
Within this team, the Senior Paleontologist will direct compliance projects for state, federal, and commercial clients and is responsible for overseeing project development, direction, coordination, and quality control, under the guidance of the Principal Paleontologist. Additionally, the Senior Paleontologist will train staff, oversee field directors, produce quality reports, manage multiple projects and budgets, author proposals and participate in marketing, as required.
Your Key Responsibilities
- Preparation and review of paleontological technical reports, CEQA/NEPA documents, impact mitigation plans, and annual permit reports.
- Preparation of cost proposals including budgets and scopes of work.
- Project management: implementation of projects from kickoff to completion, including client and agency coordination, project scheduling, coordination of support staff, and budget management.
Implementation of resource impact mitigation measures including monitoring and fossil collection projects of all types and sizes.
- Participation in and logistical planning for field projects from inception to completion across the western US.

Essential Functions:
Provide project management including maintaining scope, schedule, and budget for projects.

**Pay Transparency:** In compliance with pay transparency laws, pay ranges are provided for positions in locations where required. Please note, the final agreed upon compensation is based on individual education, qualifications, experience, and work location. At Stantec certain roles are bonus eligible. Actual compensation for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on the agreed number of working hours per week.

Your Opportunity
We are looking for an experienced dual US and Canadian Global Mobility Consultant (18-month contract) to join our passionate, collaborative and results-driven team. As part of the HR Talent Services team of subject matter experts focused on employee experience, you will work closely with Stantec's Talent Acquisition Team, external immigration advisor, hiring managers, and HR Business Partners to support Stantec's North American Immigration Practice.
Your Responsibilities
Oversee and manage the day-to-day administration of US and Canadian employment-based immigration requirements and petitions.
Work closely with the external immigration service partner on the strategy and details for all cases and associated employer-sponsored petitions.
Communicate to foreign nationals regarding all stages of their non-immigrant and immigrant status (including documentation, strategy, and case progression).
Oversee and ensure that deadlines are met for the filing of immigration extension processes and commencement of permanent residence processes.
Act as a liaison between the external immigration service partner, foreign national employees, human resources, and managers to provide accurate and appropriate information and guidance.
Maintain and audit US Department of Labor and PERM Labor Certification Audit files.
Maintain temporary foreign worker licenses by Canadian province.
Monitor and manage immigration application deadlines.
Oversee the external immigration service partner relationship, including providing feedback regarding service levels and overall partnership.
Manage invoices coming from the external immigration service partner.
Provide expertise and consultative skills in assisting the team with process improvements to streamline, document and bundle immigration and visa processing.
Carry out administrative tasks related to immigration processes including filing, mailings, and electronic documentation.
Plan and execute effective communication strategy to convey timely immigration updates.
Maintain updated knowledge of immigration legislation/regulation and participate in re-designing the program in response to new compliance requirements.
Coordinate events and/or educational programs for foreign national employees and their managers as required.
Provide regular and ad-hoc reporting on metrics and trending and work on ad-hoc projects as required.
Your Capabilities and Credentials
In-depth knowledge of US and Canadian visa types and processes with experience to review case facts and provide preliminary assessments.
Experience influencing decisions and articulating immigration matters to stakeholders.
Experience exercising judgment and discretion according to company policies and practices.
Client-focused with the ability to build strong and productive business relationships with various stakeholder groups.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, writing and communication skills.
Able to set priorities and work effectively in a constantly changing environment.
Must be a highly-motivated self-starter and be able to work with minimal supervision.

Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Law, or a related field.
Minimum of 4-5 years of experience working in a technical US/Canadian immigration role either in-house or in a law firm setting.
