Key Responsibilities:

You are responsible for implementing goals in the treatment plan as written by the BCBA. Our goal is to improve the lives of children and families living with autism. And specifically help children on the spectrum learn effective social, motor, language, communication and cognitive skills with the approach of ABA.

Qualifications:

+ Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
+ Current CPR certification - CPR must be a physical class - BLS American Heart Association
+ Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state and/or client requirement

CHKD's cardiac surgery program is part of a regional collaborative between CHKD and the University of Virginia (UVA), referred to as the Virginia Congenital Cardiac Collaborative. The CHKD program is supported by surgeons with over 50 years of experience, in Dr Umar Boston (Chief of Cardiac Surgery, CHKD) and Dr Phillip Smith (Surgical Director of the Fetal Care Center). Currently, 100 index cardiac surgery cases are performed each year. The planned growth with the new CICU service line is to achieve approximately 200 cases per year. CHKD has committed to establishing a dedicated CICU service line. This commitment also includes building of a new CICU in the 1 st quarter of 2026. The successful candidate will join an established group of surgeons, cardiologists, intensivists, physician extenders, nurses, pharmacists, nutritionists and other health care providers to provide comprehensive care with the shared goal of creating a center of excellence.

Qualifications:
+ High School diploma or equivalent required
+ Completed a minimum of 12 semester hours (or equivalent) of college coursework and currently be enrolled in course of study leading to an associate's or bachelor's degree (psychology, education, social work, behavioral sciences, human development or related fields); or have completed a minimum of 48 semester hours (or equivalent) of college coursework.
+ Minimum of one (1) year relevant experience preferred
+ Current CPR certification - CPR must be a physical class - BLS American Heart Association
+ Current PPD or Chest X-Ray (as applicable per state and/or client requirement
+ Ability to effectively elicit/provide information to and from appropriate individuals (including, but not limited to, supervisors, co-workers, clients) via strong communication skills; proficiency in the English language may be required
+ Computer proficiency required
+ Must be at least 18 years of age
