In this role, you will focus on the following: Design, implement, and manage enterprise-grade hybrid cloud environments that support business-critical applications and services Ensure seamless integration between on-premises infrastructure and cloud platforms, driving modernization, security, data protection, and operational excellence across IT systems Hybrid Cloud Strategy & Architecture Develop and maintain a robust hybrid cloud strategy aligned with business objectives Architect solutions leveraging Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and on-premises Microsoft technologies for scalability and resilience Infrastructure Modernization Lead initiatives for data center consolidation, remote site management, enterprise data management, privileged access management and virtualization migrations Oversee integration of engineering tools and workflow standardization across platforms Security, Compliance & Data Protection Implement advanced cybersecurity measures, including Active Directory / Entra hardening, privilege identity management, and penetration testing Ensure adherence to relevant regulatory requirements (CCPA, SOX, GDPR) as well as internal security frameworks (ISO, NIST), while maintaining effective governance practices Establish and enforce data protection policies, including encryption standards, secure data transfer protocols, and privacy-by-design principles Monitor and manage data lifecycle processes to prevent unauthorized access, loss, or corruption Virtualization & Data Protection Technologies Design and manage virtualization environments to optimize resource utilization and scalability Implement and maintain enterprise backup and recovery solutions to ensure data integrity and business continuity Microsoft Technologies Manage and optimize Microsoft on-premises systems and Azure/M365 cloud services Proficiency in integrating Linux systems with Active Directory Drive integration and migration projects between on-prem and cloud environments Data Management & Business Continuity Drive enterprise data management strategies, including role-based access, data classification/handling, retention, and disaster recovery planning Collaborate with stakeholders to align security controls and data protection measures with business continuity requirements Team Leadership & Collaboration Mentor IT engineers and support staff, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver AI enablement, analytics, and process optimization projects Vendor & Project Management Manage relationships with VARs, service providers and technology vendors Oversee project timelines, budgets, and deliverables for hybrid cloud initiatives Qualifications Experience in hybrid cloud architecture and operations: Active Directory, Windows Server, Azure, Microsoft 365, Dynamics 365, Power Platform Strong knowledge of networking, virtualization (VMware, Nutanix, Proxmox, Hyper-V), IAM, and backup solutions (Rubrik, Veeam, Netbackup) Expertise in cybersecurity frameworks and risk management practices Familiarity with ITIL standards and enterprise compliance requirements Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Certifications preferred: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, M365 Administrator Expert, CISSP or similar Experience with automation tools, DevOps practices, and AI-driven IT solutions preferred Bachelor's in Computer Science or related + 9 years of experience Compensation and Benefits MaxLinear has a Total Compensation philosophy which includes base salary and annual discretionary bonus eligibility and many positions also include stock-based compensation. MaxLinear expects to offer a starting base salary within the range of: $130,624 to $202,841 Annually We offer competitive benefits designed to support employee health, welfare, and retirement and some highlights are: health care benefits, 401k savings plan, Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP), and paid time off.
