The Mayo Clinic Family Medicine Residency Program in Mankato, Minnesota is seeking a Board Certified / Board Eligible Family Medicine teaching physician to join our team. Candidate must be a graduate from a training program with AOA accreditation or Osteopathic Recognition. The residency program cultivates exceptional family medicinephysicians dedicated to providing high-quality, collaborative, and patient- and family-centered care who are committed to partnering with their patients and community to achieve health excellence.
* Traditional Osteopathic Family Medicine faculty practice (inpatient/outpatient)
* Teach full scope Osteopathic Family Medicine in a supportive, community-based, 5-5-5 program with Osteopathic Recognition
* Teaching and evaluation of OMT and OPP, with use of OMT in own practice
* Supervision of resident prenatal care and OB deliveries is preferred
* Supervision of residents in inpatient and well newborn nursery
* Supervision of residents in free clinics, mobile units, and other community-based activities

+ Examines patients, formulates differential diagnostic plans, defines and orders required diagnostic testing. Provides preventative, chronic disease, and acute care depending on the need of the clinic site. Ensures proper injury care and disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
+ Prescribes and administers medications, performs routine vaccinations, and provides advice regarding personal health and hygiene.
+ Interprets examination findings and test results and implements treatment plans. Refers patient to medical specialist or another practitioner when necessary.
+ Completes medical record and electronic order management (via in basket); and completes cross coverage depending on site needs. Follows organization policies and procedures and protocols.
+ Actively participates in multidisciplinary team approach to case management
+ Participates in utilization and quality tools and activities that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes or workflows.
+ Maintains knowledge of, and complies with, all relevant laws, regulations, policies, procedures, and standards.
+ Actively participates in creating and implementing improvements
**Required Qualifications:**
+ Graduate of an accredited ACGME/AOA Family Medicine residency training program
+ BC/BE with the ABMS or AOA
+ Licensed or ability to obtain licensure through the Minnesota Board of Medical Practice
+ Ability to obtain and/or maintain DEA certification for the State of Minnesota
+ Meet threshold criteria/qualification for Credentialing and Privileges
+ Board Certified in Family Medicine, or dual Board Certification in Internal Medicine/Pediatrics Minnesota license to practice as an MD or DO

The actual rate of pay offered within this range may depend on several factors, such as FTE, skills, knowledge, relevant education, experience, and market conditions.
