Responsibilities Dr. Ming-Fen Ho's lab is looking for highly motivated and productive postdoctoral fellows for stem cell research projects within the Department of Psychiatry and Psychology at Mayo Clinic, Rochester, MN. This study is designed to identify novel therapeutics for substance use disorders. We will apply novel network biology approaches, pathway modeling, and simulation computational tools to prioritize potential candidates for functional genomic studies. The approaches we are taking could help us to develop mechanistic hypothesis for experimental validation. Our findings will enhance the general understanding of drug mechanism(s) of action and the underlying the pathophysiology responsible for substance use disorders, thus opening new avenues for discovering novel therapeutic targets for the treatment of substance use disorders. Dr. Ho's laboratory has established protocols for differentiating human iPSCs into a variety of cell types, including neurons, astrocytes, and brain organoids, and has developed cellular models and cell therapeutic candidates for diseases including alcohol use disorder, and opioid use disorder. Qualifications Basic education, experience and skills required for consideration: * The successful applicant should have completed a PhD or MD in biology, neuroscience, pharmacology, or a related field. Emergency Preparedness Initiative, a project that provides culturally relevant resources to African American faith communities to help them build capacity for emergency response - including cardiac events, public health crises, severe weather, and other emergencies. Job Summary The Gene and Cell Therapy Institute (GCTI) is a newly created system-wide Institute under Mass General Brigham. The Institute will foster a world-class gene and cell therapy program that will leverage ongoing, groundbreaking scientific research efforts across the MGB system. The mission of GCTI is to bring together the community of MGB investigators which can utilize gene and cell therapy platforms to achieve their scientific and clinical goals and improve the health of patients. The Abudayyeh-Gootenberg Gene Editing lab at the Mass General Brigham Gene and Cell Therapy Institute is seeking a talented AI Scientist and Engineer to join the Mass General Brigham Gene and Cell Therapy Institute. This role will work across multiple groups within the institute, including the Abudayyeh-Gootenberg lab, gene editing core, and RNA core. The successful candidate will contribute to developing AI solutions for gene and cell therapy, support general computational efforts, and help shape strategic directions for the institute. The Gingery laboratory investigates local and systemic impacts of aging, cellular senescence, immune dysregulation, and metabolic dysfunction in musculoskeletal diseases and conditions. These include carpal tunnel syndrome, Dupuytren contracture, rheumatoid arthritis, connective tissue fibrosis, tendinopathy, rotator cuff tears, tendon injury and repair, skeletal biology, and wound healing. The goal is to develop evidence-based preventives and therapeutics. Dr. Gingery and her Musculoskeletal Biology and Immunology Laboratory uses multidisciplinary, state-of-the-art approaches, including bioinformatics and spatial, single-cell, and metabolomic multi-omics. The Research Technologist would support ongoing projects. Duties will include routine, cell, molecular, model system and translational laboratory work under supervision of the PI. Candidate should be highly goal and detail oriented and have strong teamwork skills.
