I like the staff, this place gives me a good opportunity to learn and teach, two of the things I actually really enjoy doing. I am very much into learning how things work and how there may be a way to help improve the process.
Sometimes management is not on the same page as the rest of the staff. I am the TL and was not really taught on how to do my job. I love learning as I go but it doesn't give me the best opportunity to teach correctly. We are all pretty much worked till exhaustion on a regular basis and are not given the help needed. Raises I personally feel aren't the best and a lot of staff struggles with that.
The health benefits are my favorite. We have really good and affordable benefits. They also provide reimbursement for school and a few other little perks.
I love my job!! It's low stress and entertaining at times. Working at Mayo makes it better too, the benefits are great and the people that work here are awesome. No one is mean or vindictive, everyone seems to get along I would say something with minimal nutritional value and tons of additives..something like jelly beans
RDs require a lot of schooling. I'm studying to be a Dietetic Technicia. right now and personally I chose it because I love talking and learning about food but wasn't interested in having a culinary career. I'm assumings a lot of dietetics professionals come from a similar idea.
My co-workers were great. Real salt of the earth types.
Mayo had taken over the community hospital and it was pretty clear they didn't have the same connection to it as the locals did.
There weren't many perks or benefits.
Everyone is so intelligent and willing to help in any way they can.
Huge campus and tons of employees. Felt like a small fish in a huge pond.
Gym membership to their healthy living center!
Collaborative team environment
Lack of transparency from executive leadership and focus on the bottom line
The people. Most are mission driven and very giving
nothing
management
Being able to be helicoptered to the Mayo hospitals if I was in a different place.
Learning from an environment with excellent standards of care and experiences while I was in nursing school and 5 years after.
None. Many opportunities to learn and Expand in a enthusiastic atmosphere.
