    **This is a full-time, permanent position** A leading commercial HVAC contractor is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Industrial Piping Estimator to support their growing project portfolio in commercial construction. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on field experience and strong technical estimating capabilities. You"ll work closely with the commercial sales team to generate accurate, competitive piping estimates for chilled water, hot water, steam, gas, and condenser water systems. This is a critical role for ensuring scope alignment, cost control, and project win rates in a fast-paced bidding environment. Industrial Piping Estimator Responsibilities: Prepare detailed and accurate piping take-offs for a range of systems including chilled/hot water, steam/condensate, natural gas, and condenser water. Collaborate with the commercial sales team to develop pricing proposals with defined scopes, exclusions, and clarifying notes. Review project plans, specs, and timelines to identify bid opportunities and ensure deadlines are met. Estimate labor and material costs based on internal standards and historical data using manual calculations and digital estimating software (Autobid). Contact vendors and suppliers to obtain current material and equipment pricing as needed for accurate bid preparation. Interpret mechanical drawings and specifications to understand mechanical intent and fill in gaps in design during early-stage estimating. Manage multiple bid opportunities simultaneously and maintain regular follow-up with sales and project teams. Assist in creating detailed takeoffs and buyout material lists post-award for procurement and execution. Support submittal collection from vendors and subcontractors during handoff to project teams. Industrial Piping Estimator Requirements: 5+ years of experience in industrial or commercial HVAC piping estimating AND project execution. Field installation background combined with strong technical aptitude in mechanical estimating. Proficiency in reading and interpreting construction documents and mechanical drawings. Working knowledge of HVAC piping systems including boilers, chillers, cooling towers, pumps, heat exchangers, and hydronic terminal units. Strong skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook), with experience using Autobid or other estimating platforms.
