I really can't come up with any pros, it's that bad!!
The top people at the Byron center and Wayland facility's need schooling. Rude crude and make u feel disgusted even being around them.
There is no perks or benefits. Maybe in Wisconsin but in Michigan there is absolutely zero and they can care less about there employees.
Don't know was there 7 years , never met the guy once.
Fire all upper management! They are all center manufacturing people. They all act better than you.
I just went in, they will hire anyone because there policy's suck! Worst place I've ever worked by far!
It's about 5 dollars an hour short. If you want the shaft, it's your place!
I feel they are pretty racist. Giving (special) people easy jobs and leaving grunt work for us.
Nothing , hated being there daily, it feels wonderfull now that I rid my soul of the dangerous place!!
Learning and doing something different
They assigned me to tasks meant for two people, expecting me to meet the production rate alone. I was the only woman required to handle the physically demanding and strenuous tasks such as restocking heavy items, installing fixtures, and managing welding cells with significant issues. At times, the only way to fit parts into the fixtures was by using sheer force with hands or pushing vigorously because using tools was deemed time-consuming and didn't meet the required rate. I found myself stuck in this situation for weeks on end, with occasional breaks granted only when I encountered tasks that caused severe pain in my hands, resulting in swelling that hindered their movement. My wrists and hands ached daily from handling the heavy components, grinding parts, changing tips, troubleshooting, resetting weld cells, conducting quality checks, inspecting, marking, performing gauge checks, and packing parts. Furthermore, there was the added responsibility of cleanup, which included documenting downtime twice, labeling every piece used in production, recording container details, tracking inventory, and coordinating with the forklift operator to replace empty bins or containers. Despite being courteous to my face, some coworkers engaged in gossip behind my back, creating a tense atmosphere. Out of the numerous colleagues, I only got along with four individuals, yet even they indulged in negative talk about my inability to meet the production rate. Most of my coworkers were in their twenties or early thirties, while I was nearing my mid-forties, dealing with a curved spine, sciatica, and some arthritis.
It was in the country, nobody begging for money change or cigarettes everyday.
Never met the guy. Rich my supervisor was okay some days, but the skinny or pretty girls got the easy jobs by flirting and stuff. They would stand around for an hour just talking it up while I'm killing myself to try to make rate when I know I can't
Change their rates, change their female employee dynamics, give every operator an assistant to restock, inspect parts, Deburring, getting off the weld bee bees, printing labels, calling for parts, calling the hilo, calling weld tech or supervisor, grinding gage checking and paperwork also. All you should have to do is run the weld cell and answer any questions you utility worker has or training and teaching them their position and what to look for on parts and where
I got in through a temporary service in Holland.
Too hard of work, not enough compensation. Pay cut when you get hired in from a temp to hire position, they only cared about you making rate and nothing else, but I got the mens jobs not the women's jobs. I also ended up with ringworm of the feet scalp and genital area, a bad case of scabies, and on top of that silver fish and finally human bot flies from that place.
They're diverse. They just can't keep people, works too hard for too little pay and you get a pay cut when you get hired in. I was going to go from $20.00 and hour with perfect attendance to $17.00 or $18.00 hourly.
The Popsicles, filtered refrigerated water and ice cubes all day everyday. The Otis Meyers Apple Cinnamon Cookies too lol. I became an addict to those cookies
