Position Overview
The Project Manager will be responsible for planning, executing, and delivering projects on time, within scope, and on budget. This role involves managing all aspects of a project lifecycle, including resource allocation, scheduling, and stakeholder communication. The Project Manager will work closely with cross-functional teams to define project objectives, identify and mitigate risks, and ensure high-quality deliverables. This role also requires a focus on fostering positive client relationships, tracking project performance, and continuously improving project management processes to align with organizational goals. A Project Manager may be responsible for the oversight and management of other Project Management staff.
Key Responsibilities
Develop comprehensive project plans that outline project goals, deliverables, timelines, and milestones.
Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure alignment with project objectives
Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project success.
Facilitate effective communication and collaboration among team members, clients, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
Prepare and present project updates, reports, and documentation to stakeholders, ensuring transparency and accountability
Continuously monitor project expenditures and identify opportunities for cost adjustments, implementing strategies to maintain budget compliance and optimize resource allocation throughout the project lifecycle.
Lead conflict resolution and negotiation efforts to address project challenges while maintaining a focus on collaborative solutions
Conduct thorough quality control reviews of all deliverables to ensure compliance with company standards and specifications, implementing necessary revisions before distribution to guarantee excellence and client satisfaction
Efficiently manage Accounts Receivable by implementing proactive strategies to monitor outstanding invoices, ensuring timely collections, and maintaining strong client relationships to optimize cash flow and minimize delinquencies
Review Billing Review Reports (BRRs) from accounting ensuring accuracy, alignment with project scope, and timely communication with stakeholders for any clarifications or adjustments needed
Develop compelling project proposals, leveraging industry insights and client needs to create persuasive content that effectively communicates project value and aligns with organizational objectives
Foster effective partnerships with corporate services including Accounting, Admin Services, and HR among others, to streamline processes, ensure compliance, and enhance operational efficiency
Cultivate long-term relationships with past and current clients to secure repeat business while effectively cross-selling services across departments, maximizing opportunities for collaboration and growth
Proactively pursue and cultivate a comprehensive knowledge of the latest industry trends and advancements, applying insights to enhance project outcomes and drive competitive advantage
Occasionally undertake production work to support project timelines and deliverables, ensuring hands-on involvement in design and planning processes while balancing leadership responsibilities
Lead and mentor project teams by fostering a collaborative environment, providing guidance, and motivating team members to achieve project objectives and enhance overall performance
Perform other duties as assigned
Skills + Experience
Bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited program in Landscape Architecture, City/Community/Regional Planning, Urban Planning, or related field required
Possess licensure/certification (RLA or AICP)
Possess a minimum of 8-10 years of experience in planning, design, or a related field
Maintain proficiency with essential technologies and software, including AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, etc.
Demonstrate exceptional oral and written communication skills and interpersonal expertise to effectively present complex materials to clients, project teams, stakeholders, and the general public, fostering clear understanding and engagement across all audiences
Exhibit deep expertise in design, planning, and regulatory standards, ensuring project compliance and alignment with industry requirements and best practices

Position Overview
The Assistant Project Manager position serves as a vital step in transitioning from a production-focused role to a more project management-oriented position. This role involves leading project teams, overseeing the design and production of civil engineering documents, and coordinating with subconsultants. The Assistant Project Manager is responsible for mentoring junior staff, managing resources, assisting with permitting, and maintaining project schedules. Additionally, this role begins to emphasize client interaction and business development, laying the

Key Responsibilities
* Assist in leading a multidisciplinary production team, managing resources effectively to meet project goals. Address technical and design challenges, providing timely solutions to ensure project continuity and quality

Skills + Experience
* Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field required
* EI required; PE or on track to obtaining PE strongly preferred
* Minimum of 5+ years' experience in civil site design or related field required
* Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and relevant engineering design software. Strong understanding of site design, utility layouts, and stormwater management

Position Purpose
McAdams is seeking a Project Manager for our growing Traffic Engineering practice. This position will be supporting the planning and analysis for private land development projects and public / municipal projects. Projects will include Traffic Impact Analyses (TIA's), corridor studies, small area plans, downtown master plans, comprehensive transportation plans, and feasibility studies. The ideal candidate will be able to take a project from conception through completion of the traffic study while coordinating with public and private stakeholders and presentation at public hearings, when necessary. This position will be responsible for maintaining project schedules, ensuring high quality deliverables at project milestones, performing quality control on their projects as well as other projects, and participating in project administration tasks such as invoicing and billing. Qualifications

Position Overview
The Project Manager leads and oversees all phases of civil engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery from design through construction. This role is responsible for managing project teams, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest technical standards. The Project Manager coordinates design efforts, manages resources, handles permitting and regulatory compliance, and ensures quality control across all deliverables. Additionally, the role involves business development, risk management, and mentoring junior staff, contributing to the growth and success of the firm.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage all aspects of civil engineering projects, ensuring successful delivery from concept through construction administration. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, stakeholders, and internal teams, driving alignment on project goals, timelines, and budgets
Develop and maintain strong client relationships by providing exceptional service, managing client expectations, and ensuring project satisfaction. Identify and pursue opportunities for repeat business and referrals
Oversee and mentor project teams, providing guidance, support, and direction. Foster a collaborative environment, ensuring clear communication and smooth coordination between design staff, subconsultants, and other project team members
Direct and support the design of civil engineering systems, including site plans, utility plans, stormwater management, grading, and infrastructure layouts. Ensure designs meet all technical, regulatory, and quality standards.
Develop, manage, and track project budgets and schedules, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget. Allocate resources effectively to meet project deadlines and address any potential issues proactively.
Lead permitting efforts, working with local agencies and municipalities to ensure timely approvals and compliance with applicable regulations. Address agency comments and facilitate site permitting processes
Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving any technical or design challenges promptly. Proactively address issues that may impact project timelines, budgets, or client relationships
Ensure the quality of all project deliverables, conducting regular reviews of design documents, construction drawings, reports, and specifications to maintain accuracy and compliance with company standards
Manage relationships with external subconsultants, contractors, and vendors, ensuring their deliverables meet project requirements and timelines. Collaborate with these parties to ensure seamless project execution
Actively contribute to business development efforts by identifying potential project opportunities, drafting proposals, and participating in client presentations. Develop strategies to expand the firm's presence in the market.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities for staff in accordance with the Firm's policies and applicable laws (plans, assigns, and directs work; performance appraisals; rewarding of employees; addresses complaints and resolves problems)
Provide mentorship to junior project managers, engineers, and staff, helping to develop their technical and project management skills. Share knowledge and promote continuous learning across the team.
Prepare and present project updates to stakeholders, including progress reports, budget status, and risk assessments. Maintain accurate project documentation for internal and client reference.

Skills + Experience
Four-year bachelor's degree from an accredited program in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Biological and Agricultural Engineering, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field required
EI required; PE or on track to obtaining PE strongly preferred
Minimum of 5+ years' experience in civil site design or related field required
Proficiency in Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and other relevant design and project management software. Strong understanding of civil engineering design principles and construction processes.
Excellent ability to manage budgets, schedules, and resources. Experience with risk management and problem-solving.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to lead meetings, present information, and interact with clients and stakeholders.
Ability to lead teams, mentor junior staff, and foster a collaborative work environment.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong client relationships with a focus on delivering high-quality service
