ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Tracks all outgoing and incoming paperwork to ensure that deadlines are met, and that immediate and appropriate action is taken when forms are not received within the required timeframes. * Scans all eligibility paperwork in the client case file, on the day the action is taken or within 48 hours of receipt, if mailed. * Flags and takes timely and appropriate action on children turning 13 years of age who do not have a disability. * Informs parents of childcare options available; provides parents with childcare information that will assist them in making an informed decision on intake and when customer requests a transfer. * Promotes and ensures parental compliance with the terms of the Parent Responsibility Agreement and within the required timeframes. * Provides intake services for customers seeking subsidized childcare services. * Enrolls children in childcare settings according to State and Board policies and within the required timeframes. * Tracks, follows up and takes appropriate action on assigned absences and late parent fees within the required timeframes. * Refers suspected fraud and submits the appropriate form (i.e., RID 32 form). * Enters client and case eligibility according to policies and procedures accurately and in real time (as service is provided to customer) in TWIST and not to exceed 72 hours from the point the action is taken. * Provides customers with the option to appeal and submits appeals packet on a timely manner. * Submits recoupment referrals as needed and on a timely manner. * Reviews unresolved issues in TWIST to ensure that children are not placed on the wait list and are not provided for until clearance is received on recoupment. * Provides informational support/instruction to customers, as needed. * Provides excellent customer service to customers. * Performs other related duties as assigned. Practice data-driven decision-making by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting all education and child development services data (PIR, Child Plus, child screenings and assessments, monitoring, and self-assessment) and direct teaching staff to assure continuous improvement practices. POSITION SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Assume the lead role in monitoring and observing classrooms and teachers to assure high-quality teaching practices are implemented for all infants and toddlers thru a coaching model. Assist teachers in the development of learning plans and practices for meeting the needs and strengths of children based on child screenings and assessment results. Assist teachers in assuring that the classroom and playground learning environments are safe, developmentally appropriate, and stimulating for learning and development. Assist teachers in assuring that classrooms and learning plans are culturally and linguistically appropriate for all children including dual language learners, homeless children, children in foster care, and children with disabilities. Assist teachers in compliance with IDEA and 504 in accommodating and meeting the needs of children who have been diagnosed with a disability; specifically, with IEPs and IFSP. Assist the Education/Disabilities Manager in the selection of curricula, supplementary instructional materials, and furniture to equip each classroom as appropriate for infants and/or toddlers. Assist in the provision of professional development for teachers based on the coaching results. PHYSICAL RESPONSIBILITIES Ability to see at a normal distance, hear normal conversations and sounds and use hands and fingers to fill out required forms. Ability to lift infants and toddlers weighing up to forty (40) pounds, twenty (20) pounds overhead and forty (40) pounds from waist to shoulder; occasional lifting of fifty (50) pounds is required and must be able to push/pull up to fifty pounds horizontally. Ability to sit on the floor, bend at the waist, kneel and/or stoop 75% of the time. Bus Monitor Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Conduct daily child health observation to determine child health status or injuries for children boarding the bus. Obtain and secure child medications for proper pickup and delivery utilizing safe handling procedures and documenting such activities appropriately. Responsible for the safety and supervision of children during transportation which includes securing children properly, in appropriate child safety restraints, prior to departure, monitoring children to remain secured throughout transportation, securing “Red Bags,” and the loading and unloading of children from the bus by following Transportation policies and procedures. Assist Bus Driver during emergencies and evacuation drills and ensure the vehicle is maintained in a sanitary condition. Is responsible for the implementation, monitoring, and compliance of bus rules during transportation of children by providing educational activities as part of school readiness efforts and provide feedback to teaching staff/coordinating staff regarding observed behaviors/development during bus activities. Based on the PFCE Framework, acts as a liaison between parents and center staff regarding center activities, child issues, and upcoming program events. Based on the HSELOF, will provide child engagement through activities such as singing, fingerplays, stories, and positive conversations. Responsible for ensuring that all children are properly released from the school bus to the parent, guardian, and/or designated person as documented in the child's file. As necessary, provide short-term relief (breaks) to classroom staff while under the supervision of a qualified teacher in the classroom or playground. (Any type of coverage will be contingent upon prior training and qualifications). As necessary provide interpretation services in the classroom while assisting with coverage, at home visits, and Parent/Teacher conferences. The Bus Monitor may be requested to assist in fulfilling staff/child ratios in classrooms, kitchen duties, or other areas of the center, as assigned, should a staff member be absent. (Any type of coverage will be contingent upon prior training and qualifications) Assist the Bus Driver /Janitor to clean and maintain the building and playground as needed. Transports and assists with supervision of children and parents during parent meetings, field trips, health clinic visits and as assigned. Participate in trainings for serving children with disabilities or special needs (ex. children with wheelchairs or special car seats, children with allergies) in accordance with the child's IEP and/or IFSP. Assist in ongoing recruitment plan activities, including recruitment of children with disabilities. Provide support or T/TA to other locations (centers) with some travel requirements. Attend all staff meetings and trainings and other program activities as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications: Be 18 years of age. High School Diploma or GED (Dependent on each state's childcare licensing requirements). A CDA credential is also preferred and/or must enroll in the CDA for classroom coverage. Ability to work irregular and flexible hours. Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred - both oral and written. Have dependable transportation to and from work.
