Prior to his current position with McCarter & English, Alex was the firm wide Director of Practice Management at Venable - an 850 lawyer firm based in Washington, DC. In that role, Alex was the co-architect of one of the largest teams in the industry focused on optimization of firm practices to align with client value expectations. Alex was also previously the National Practice Manager for the Litigation and Employee Benefits Departments at Seyfarth Shaw - an AMLaw 50 firm renowned for its client focused innovation. Prior to Seyfarth Shaw, Alex was a consultant at Affinity Consulting Group, where he consulted in the law firm management space to firms across the North American continent. Alex has also worked for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute and the Cleveland Metropolitan Bar Association in various practice management and senior administration roles. Additionally, Alex has provided numerous lectures and continuing legal education seminars, speaking to industry groups as well as state, provincial, and local bar associations on the topics of law firm management, legal accounting and pricing, legal technology and innovation, as well as legal ethics.

Alex enjoys spending every minute he can with his family, especially his two children. Alex has a passion for travel and has been to all 50 states, every province in Canada, and countless international destinations. He also enjoys playing competitive 2-on-2 grass or sand volleyball.
