GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Commercial Diesel Technicians are responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and preventative maintenance of Diesel-powered vehicles such as Recreational Vehicles, Commercial Trucks, etc. Typical responsibilities may include, but are not limited to, running diagnostic tests on vehicles, replacing the vehicles' engine, transmission, steering mechanism or braking system and test driving the vehicle to determine if they properly fixed the maintenance issue. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Provide accurate, high level and timely vehicle diagnosis, maintenance and repairs. * Conduct thorough and accurate inspections in the area of repair, or at the request of the customer, and document with recommended services on the PMA. * Promptly deliver required service or repairs thereby meeting or exceeding customer expectations. * Running diagnostic tests on diesel engines and interpreting the results to offer suitable solutions. * Repairing or replacing vehicle transmissions, brakes, engines, and other associated parts. * Conducting field visits in the case of an emergency or sudden breakdown. * Test drive vehicles before and after repairs to ensure functionality and overall safety. * Completing oil changes, wheel balancing, alignment, and brake checks * Complete work orders and related paperwork timely and correctly. * Identifies and promotes our company culture of cooperation and collaboration among all technicians. Monitors and reviews service requests to ensure commitments are met per agreement. * Understands and conveys the value of established processes/ procedures to ensure the efficiency/ safety of the Maintenance Program. * Logs completed service request detail into Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) including, but not limited to, labor hours, parts and history/comments/notes. Audits and analyzes maintenance data for accuracy and compliance. Identifies opportunities to improve service quality and provides recommendations. * Validates and ensures that store inspections within assigned region/ territory are completed accurately and timely. Confirms that action items are reported and resolved properly. Identifies reoccurring issues and provides recommendations to Facility Technician Sr Asst Manager on opportunities to improve process. * Reviews and reports findings from Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) inspections, ensuring slopes, distances and access points, etc. meet required guidelines. Identifies deficiencies and notifies Facility Technician Sr Asst Manager. * Reviews and audits financial statements to ensure expenses are appropriately documented, planned and managed. Identifies discrepancies and notifies Facility Technician Sr Asst Manager. * Maintains work areas/ vehicles that are neat, organized and free of clutter. * Trains, coaches, guides Facility Technician I.
