Senior Analysis & Reporting Analyst
This is an advanced and senior position requiring business and technical expertise in a wide variety of educational and business areas. The CLO Data and Analytics team is part of the Commercial and Capital Markets Loan Operations business line. The goal of the team is to produce quality reporting and metrics that are utilized by commercial lending and our stakeholders, reduce risk, and provide enhanced solutions to make processes more efficient. This role includes working directly with business lines to understand their business needs and requirements. This role also collaborates with resources across technology teams such as transmissions and application partners. The teams’ responsibilities also include understanding and documenting business processes and requirements, defining and designing solution, and creating data sets and queries to link and summarize the data that can be used to create meaningful reports in WebFocus and Tableau on LoanIQ, AFS, and Salesforce data. Candidates applying outside of Rhode Island will be considered for remote work.
Primary responsibilities include:
Develop reports, custom report types, dashboards, and processes to continuously monitor data quality and integrity.
Developing complex reports using SQL or MS Access queries and new SQL views in AWS Redshift environment
Working closely with Commercial Loan Operations colleagues and business line partners to understand current business processes and be able to offer solutions and identify reporting needs
Designing, developing, modifying, debugging and evaluating existing production and/or ad-hoc reports using data from commercial loan servicing systems
Independently translating business requirements into technical specifications to either develop reports or hand off to other developers within the team
Assisting with data analysis and defect identification for commercial loans: sourcing test data, helping with logistics for data queries to uncover data discrepancies, and communicating results to users to ensure proper cleanup or further action
Implementation change control from development sandboxes to production and across the development lifecycle. Ensure that all necessary changes are documented, reviewed, tested, and approved before being deployed.
Work with business lines. Risk, and audit to provide reports to support regulatory guidelines
At least 3-5 years’ experience of reporting in a development capacity
At least 3-5 years’ experience of business analysis
Solid working knowledge/experience with SQL, MS Access, and Excel
Solid working knowledge DataNet, Webfocus, Redshift, and DBeaver
Solid working knowledge of AFS, Loan IQ application data
Strong problem-solving and time-management skills, a superior customer service orientation and advanced analytical capability
The ability to multi-task and function efficiently in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
Solid working knowledge of database principles and concepts
Solid written, verbal and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to support others through training and coaching
Knowledge of Tableau and Cognos a plus
Hours and Work Schedule
Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F 8-5
