Principal Accountabilities
Ensure Refrigeration, Boiler, and HVAC systems are operating properly through monitoring, PM's and repairs
Maintain Boiler and refrigeration water chemistry though testing
Participate in activities (training, system reviews, documentation) with the ammonia PSM program
Miscellaneous tasks and duties assigned
Required Qualifications
Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
Must be 18 years or older
Ability to read, write, and speak English
Technical degree in a HVAC or ammonia refrigeration or equivalent work experience with industrial ammonia refrigeration
Basic math skills, including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
Knowledge of basic tools and maintenance related subjects
Willingness to participate on various teams such as HAZMAT
Knowledge of automated industrial machinery which includes; motors, servos, pumps, drives, relays, 3 phase power, communication devices, and industrial/electronic controls
Demonstrated troubleshooting effectiveness
Strong ability to identify priories and adjust as needed
Strong ability to work independently; highly self motivated, self directed and be results oriented
Preferred Qualifications
Computer skills
Work history in the last 12 months
RETA/IIAR training and certification
Previous experience with regulated PSM program
Previous ammonia refrigeration experience

Responsibilities
* Gather required data for quote preparation, data entry of new quotes, and contact vendors for job quotes
* Work directly with partners and clients to determine project scope, specifications and requirements,
* Keep current of new products, trends, market cost, and pricing
* Follow up on customer quotes and contacts vendors for material pricing
* Coordinate with vendors to ensure that pricing data is received in a timely manner
* Participate in the resolution of any and all pricing related issues
* Assess cost-effectiveness of products, projects or services, tracking actual costs relative to bids as the project develops
* Sends completed quotes to the FEI sales representative and/or customer.
* Confer with owners, contractors, and subcontractors on changes and adjustments to cost estimates

A day in the life…
As the HVAC Technician, you will be responsible for overseeing the heating, air conditioning & ammonia systems, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. You will administer the HVAC service requirements and support the RSC Process Safety Management (PSM) program, playing a critical role in maintaining a safe and compliant facility. Working within the Engineering and Maintenance Department, you will contribute to the overall success of production by performing assigned tasks with precision and expertise. Your technical skills and commitment to excellence will help create a comfortable, efficient, and well-maintained environment within the RSC property.
What you will be doing…
Perform assigned tasks, follow specific instructions, receive progress checks and feedback.
Proceed alone on routine tasks following standard instructions; but will openly refer to all questionable situations to immediate supervisor / Plant Engineer (&/or the PSM Coordinator (Supervisor).
Install, troubleshoot, repair, operate and replace RSC HVAC, Production and Facility related equipment and services.
Apply BDA to evaluate service effectiveness, perform Root Cause Analysis to prevent recurring HVAC issues, and maintain a clean, efficient work environment using 5S principles.
Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to ensure product quality and maintain compliance with food safety standards.
Complete and follow FSQA training and programs to comply with regulatory requirements, ensure consumer safety, and support the plant's food safety and quality objectives.
Promptly report and take appropriate action on any observed or potential food safety hazards, process deviations, or non-conformities by notifying the designated plant supervisor, in accordance with your role and responsibilities.
Actively contributes to the continuous improvement of the company's Food Safety Culture through engagement and actions aligned with your role.

Under moderate supervision a Refrigeration Technician 3 is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and examining refrigeration systems, working specifically with ammonia refrigeration. This role requires performing preventative maintenance to refrigeration systems. Will respond to any system interruptions and have the flexibility to be on call to conduct emergency repairs. Essential Position Functions:

Responsibilities
THIS POSITION HAS NO DIRECT MANAGEMENT OR SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
POSITION SUMMARY
The Facilities Technician ensures safe and efficient operation of facility and production support systems by performing inspections, maintenance, repairs, and assisting with equipment installations. This role also maintains building and grounds, documents work, and supports safety and continuous improvement initiatives.
KEY FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES
Follows all Company policies regarding safety, quality and attendance. Performs duties in a safe manner and reports all observed safety hazards to management. Acts as a role model for Safety on shift. Participates in safety programs by reporting Unsafe Conditions, Unsafe Acts and Close Calls; enters Near Miss data and Observations into Global Data Center Database (GDC)
Regularly inspects and maintains production support equipment including but not limited to, Material Handling System, Printers, and Facility Maintenance.
Assists with assembly, installation, disassembly, and demolition of production equipment and building support equipment as required for upgrades or new installations.
Maintains a neat and orderly work area; meets plant and department housekeeping standards. May be assigned additional responsibilities as needed to maintain a clean and orderly work space.
Accurately records/documents detailed information regarding work performed.
Works with contractors as needed for maintenance or project work.
Maintains building and grounds.
Participate in employee driven teams and continuous improvement projects to address scrap, quality, safety or other production related issues.
Other duties as assigned or requested.

Qualifications
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

Education and/or Experience:
Knowledge of specialized field gained through specialized training equivalent to one year of college or trade school or equivalent experience of four to five years preferred.
Experience: In addition to the educational requirements, two to four years of experience in industrial and facility repair. Must possess basic mechanical skills. Must demonstrate ability to follow written and verbal instructions with little or no supervision. Ability to read mechanical drawings and documentation. Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical systems and equipment.
Other Skills and Abilities
Computer Skills - Experience with Microsoft Office and products desirable.
Reasoning Ability - Ability to define problems, collect data, stablish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret and extensive variety of technical instruction in mathematical or diagram from and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit to prepare reports and use computer equipment, walking to inspect facility including raw materials, work-in-process, finished goods and overall manufacturing and warehouse operations. Employees in this position are required to exert up to 60 pounds of force occasionally; and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently; and/or up to 40 pounds of force regularly; frequently will lift up to 30 pounds.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is often subject to changing priorities, time pressures and constraints, and a high level of job-related stress. Work is performed on the manufacturing floor where the work environment is noisy and hearing protection is required for all employees. Employees must be able to wear other PPE such as eye and foot protection as required. Ability to work overtime as required.
