McElroy Metal history

In 1970, Tem McElroy returned to Shreveport, LA to join the company his father founded.

In 1975, Tem became president of McElroy Metal and soon started to implement his plan to turn the company into national entity.

In 1976, the company’s first satellite manufacturing facility was in operation.

Joining the metal construction industry in 1979, Mark is a true industry veteran and one of the industry’s most knowledgeable sales executives.

Mark joined McElroy Metal fresh out of college in 1982 as a the company’s very first Management Trainee.

Mark Lawson joined McElroy Metal in 1985 and has had the pleasure of serving the company in many roles.

Howell joined McElroy Metal in 1989 and has served the company in wide variety of roles.

By 1991, McElroy Metal was indeed a national company with six manufacturing facilities spanning from Winchester, VA in the East to Adelanto, CA in the West.

Ian joined McElroy Metal full-time in 1999 and for many years worked in several departments and divisions with the company to gain an understanding of various aspects of McElroy Metal.

Amanda joined McElroy Metal in 2000.

Mark has served as Regional Manager in two different areas and also started up the company’s architectural division in 2002.

In 2007, Ian became president and became the 3rd generation leader of McElroy Metal and soon began to implement his vision for the company’s future.

In 2008 Mark was promoted to Vice President of Sales and soon implemented his plan for McElroy Metal to have the best trained sales force in the industry.

Always in search of opportunities to grow and expand, McElroy has acquired several complementary companies under Ian’s leadership and in 2012 entered into a Joint Venture to Manufacture Insulated Metal Panels (IMP’s) under the Green Span Profiles trade name.

Amanda became a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) in 2013.
