Coordinates activities with other departments. * Establishes goals and objectives for the department as well as policies, procedures and standards of performance. * Works with outside vendors to resolve pricing, quality, or delivery problems. * Supervises the Department Manager working closely to maintain trained staff, task schedules and excellent service to all McFarland departments. * Reviews departmental performance and ensures compliance with regulatory requirements. Maintains department records and reports. * Attend Director meetings, Supervisor meetings and participate on committees as requested. (Safety and Infection Control, Drug Safety and Handling Taskforce, Drugs and Injections Work group.) * Oversees IT computer inventory processes and provides support to the IT tech staff who utilize the software for this inventory. * Oversees the EMS Emergency Stock Supply warehouse. * Materials lead for ERP software updates, conversions and troubleshooting. * Materials lead for DSCSA data serialization transfer, integration and maintenance. * Maintains GPO (Group Purchasing Organization) relations and duties. * Attend Stratum Med monthly meetings and work groups. * Maintain GLN and HIN numbers for McFarland Clinic locations. * Participates in clinic projects and committees when requested. * Maintains strict confidentiality. * Performs related work as required. Education * High School Diploma, GED or HiSET. * Associates Degree in a related field required, Bachelor's Degree preferred. Our Emergency Department (ED) is a 4-bed unit that cares for patients of all ages with conditions ranging from minor to critical. Sanford Jackson is designated as an Acute Stroke Ready facility and a Level 4 Trauma . During a typical day, our ED treats approximately 8-10 patients. Our unit is staffed with a provider on-call 24/7. Nursing staff collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient-centered care. We serve a diverse patient population and our staff provide compassionate care as they help patients with their emergent needs. This position consists of rotating Days/Nights with every 3rd weekend and every 3rd holiday. This position offers 12 hour shifts working in the Emergency Department, while also assisting in Med-Surg. Bachelor's Degree in nursing preferred. Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state. Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.     Job Description McFarland Clinic is currently accepting applications for Ultrasound Technologist for its Ames office. Candidates should be service-oriented, a team player, and be able to provide extraordinary care, every day to our patients. Responsibilities include: Providing quality ultrasound images to a Radiologist. Involved in direct patient care. Helping with assigned duties of the department--visual equipment checklist, room supply checklist, filling out worksheets with information prior to ultrasound study. Conferring with Radiologist or PCP when needed to clarify exam ordered. Work with Epic and Merge computer programs to begin a patient study and send images to the Radiologists. Occasional travel required. The ability to read and effectively communicate in the English language. Competitive salary and benefits package. Will travel to Marshalltown on Mondays. Education Completion of an accredited course in diagnostic medical sonography. Certification/License ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN required, or Certification within 9 months of hire date required. RVT (Registered vascular sonographer) also preferred.
