McGough company history timeline
Incorporated in 1956 by Peter McGough and his six sons, the present firm builds on the family legacy.
McGough was chosen as General Contractor on the 175,000 square-foot athletic center, which was completed in 2008.
On Wednesday, August 20th, 2014, McGough was designated a Yellow Ribbon Company by the Governor of the State of Minnesota in recognition of the company’s past accomplishments, ongoing efforts, and detailed action plan in support of service members and their families through deployment and beyond.
A hearty congratulations to Surly Brewing Co. for receiving the Minneapolis/St Paul Business Journal’s 2015 Eureka! Award.
Minnesota Concrete Council awarded two McGough Construction projects today at the 2015 Annual Meeting and Awards Program.

At the Grinnell College Baccalaureate ceremony on Sunday, May 19, 2019, McGough was named an “Honorary Member of the Class of 2019” in recognition of McGough's outstanding commitment to the students of Grinnell College.
Announced last week, McGough was named a 2022 Distinguished Building Award Recipient by the TEXO Construction Association for its excellence in building the Gene and Jerry Jones Family American Cancer Society – Hope Lodge.
