Works under the direction and supervision of the physicaltherapist. The physicaltherapistassistant implements selected components of patient interventions (treatment), obtains data related to the interventions provided, and makes modifications in selected interventions either to progress the patient as directed by the physicaltherapist or to ensure patient safety and comfort.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
1. Implements the individualized plan of care as established by the physicaltherapist.
2. Adjusts treatment interventions in response to patient feedback, objective data and observation within the established plan of care. Identifies need for changes in plan of care and communicates with supervising physicaltherapist.
3. Assists the physicaltherapist with managing the established discharge plan throughout treatment.
Required:
⦁ Graduate of an accredited physicaltherapistassistant program.
⦁ Current state Board of PhysicalTherapistAssistant licensure.
⦁ BLS certification.
Preferred:
⦁ One year of physicaltherapistassistant experience.

1. Implements the individualized plan of care as established by the physicaltherapist.

3. Assists the physicaltherapist with managing the established discharge plan throughout treatment.
