General Definition of Work Under supervision of the Summer Camp Program Director or their Designee, is responsible for assisting in the leading camp activities and supervision of youth in the camp program. Performs other duties and activities as assigned. Qualifications Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Good communication skills, both written and verbal. Some knowledge of summer camp activities, materials, rules, supplies, equipment, etc. Ability to implement summer camp activities. Ability to operate department equipment, to understand and anticipate problems, to follow department policies and procedures, interpret written instructions, reports, maps, manuals and schematics. The ability to establish successful working relationships with employees and the public, and use good professional judgment, honesty, and integrity in decision making. Education and Experience Must be at least 16 years old or older. Physical Requirements Indoor and outdoor setting. The position requires manual labor including lifting and carrying heavy objects, frequent bending, kneeling, jumping, and stooping, ability to operate department equipment, and a high level of physical, emotional, and mental energy. No adverse working conditions exist within this position when working in an office setting with a computer. The out of doors work may encounter adverse weather conditions. Special Requirements Must successfully pass a fingerprint-based background check. Obtain First Aid and CPR certification before the start of the program.

We're looking for applicants who are at least 18 years old and have experience playing volleyball. It's important to be able to communicate and interact well with participants. Don't worry; we'll provide mandatory training sessions and rules meetings, so you'll feel prepared and confident on the court! Our leagues kick off in January and run year-round. RESPONSIBILITIES: The City of Lawrence is seeking to fill the position of Assistant Golf Professional to provide golf professional services for the customers of the Eagle Bend Golf Course. Key job duties include supervision of golf shop and golf activities and ensuring that all programs and services are conducted and fulfilled in a manner consistent with the goals and objectives of the Eagle Bend Golf Course. The Assistant Golf Professional may exercise supervision over part-time seasonal and volunteer staff. Other key job duties include assisting in instruction, merchandising, on-course activities and in human resource management responsibilities. The Assistant Golf Professional will also oversee all programming at the golf course to include golf leagues and new recruitment of leagues and the Junior Golf Program.
