    As a Instrument Operator, you will be an integral part of Bryant Associates Land Survey Department in our Landover, MD office, where we provide our clients with a full-range of surveying and mapping services. JOB DESCRIPTION: The Instrument Operator will assist the Party Chief in the performance of boundary, ALTA, topographic, right-of way acquisition, transmission line, transportation, and construction surveys utilizing the latest equipment and surveying technology. RESPONSIBILITIES: (OTHER DUTIES MAY BE ASSIGNED) • Complete site control, boundary reconnaissance, construction staking and topographic surveys • Perform 3D scanning, and other surveying services in support of engineering work • Review of maps, field notes, and exhibits; performing construction staking calculations for improvements and utilities • Support surveying and mapping activities for boundary surveys, topographic mapping and construction staking projects • Assist the Party Chief with all aspects of the daily crew assignment • Work independently as a one person crew as required • Operate, on a daily basis, various surveying instruments • Maintain survey equipment and supplies • Work in a safe manner and obey all safety regulations • Continually advance knowledge with upgrades in technology • Complete internal and external training as required REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES: • Must be proficient with the use of survey equipment.
