About the Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesiologist Position
The Dell Medical School at the University of Texas at Austin and Dell Children's Medical Center of Central Texas (DCMCCT) are seeking experienced pediatric cardiac anesthesiologists to join the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease.
Candidates will possess experience in caring for children with complex congenital and acquired heart disease and adults with congenital heart disease. Primary responsibilities will include oversight and provision of direct care to patients prior to, during, and after cardiac surgery. Other responsibilities include developing and implementing care protocols, overseeing the QI registries pertinent to Pediatric Cardiac Anesthesia and to oversee education, quality assurance and ongoing performance improvement initiatives. Purpose
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking to hire a full-time Imaging Support Specialist to join the Biomedical Imaging Center (BIC) and coordinate the delivery of the Center's MRI services to our user-base. The BIC is a university core facility that incorporates multi-modal biomedical imaging (MRI, PET, CT, optical imaging) and supports basic, translational and clinical research at UT-Austin and the wider community. Our user-base is wide-ranging and encompasses human and preclinical imaging across multiple fields including oncology, neurology, psychology, psychiatry, nutrition and biomedical engineering. The Imaging Support Specialist will report to the MRI Program Manager and fulfil a key role in the delivery of BIC's services, providing expert technical guidance and training to our imaging community with the goal of enhancing and expanding our user support. The ideal candidate will have experience in the applications of MRI/fMRI to human neuroimaging research, a proven ability to train / educate, and the skills to coordinate a range of administrative and operational tasks.
Responsibilities
Deliver MRI services to the BIC's user-base in accordance with our scientific and educational mission.
* Coordinate the maintenance and daily operations of the clinical MR systems of the BIC, including administrative tasks such as QA/QC scans, MRI scan protocol creation, and scanner data management. Oversee user-compliance with BIC policies for MR resources and help implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to meet community needs.
* Collaborate with our support team and provide specialist technical support to the Center's user-base for human and pre-clinical MR imaging and spectroscopy.

Purpose
Provide Windows systems administration support for the Advanced Technology Laboratory (ATL).
Responsibilities
Under general direction, perform compliance monitoring and remediation for Windows, Mac, and server environments in accordance with NIST framework.
Under general direction, perform Windows Desktop and Server computer systems installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, training junior staff and end-user support for software's, servers, workstations, laptops, and virtual machines.
Manage Windows Server backup services and CIFS/SMB storage solutions installation, configuration, administration, maintenance, troubleshooting, and escalation.
Perform and maintain Windows backup and storage systems audits for compliance with established information assurance policies, retention policies, and configuration guidelines.

Required Qualifications
HS/GED
Two years of experience in IT support and compliance operations, including in Windows system administration, with progressively complex responsibilities.
Experience with commonly used concepts, practices, procedures and tools used in maintaining a Windows enterprise infrastructure.
Experience with security tools such as vulnerability scanners (e.g., Nessus), patch management platforms, endpoint protection, and SIEM solutions such as Splunk.
Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as NIST 800-171, CMMC, ISO 27001
Strong understanding of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows Server technologies.
Experience with file server management, network storage (e.g., NAS, SAN), and backup systems.
Hands-on experience with Windows Server Administration (Windows Server 2016/2019/2022), including installation, configuration, patch management, and troubleshooting.
Strong experience in desktop support, including troubleshooting Windows-based operating systems, application issues, and network connectivity problems.
Proven experience in PowerShell scripting or other scripting languages (e.g., Python, VBScript) to automate and streamline system administration tasks.
Experience with basic networking concepts.
Candidate will need to obtain a DoD 8570.1/8140 IAT Level II Certification, such as CompTIA CySA+ or Security+, within 6 months of hire date.

Purpose
Provide basic ground maintenance services to maintain the health and appearance of the landscape at The University of Texas at Austin.
Responsibilities
Maintains landscape to university standards (to include all turf, shrubs, and hardscapes) and reports trouble conditions on campus that might be a safety hazard to the university community.
Safely operates landscaping equipment to include push mowers, trimmers, edgers, blowers and other hand tools used in landscape work.
Picks up litter, empties trash receptacles, and keeps University property neat and orderly.
Readily accepts and follows written and oral instructions, maintains work schedule set by the supervisor, and complete routine paperwork to include weekly electronic time reports, daily labor reports, vehicle usage log, and other UT related electronic forms.
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment, PPE, for the task, follow safety rules, maintain safe working conditions.
Driving University owned vehicles to job sites will be required for this and most other functions. Cleans, maintains, operates university vehicle, and maintains acceptable driver rating as established in Policy UTS157 Section 2.5.4.
Adheres to and performs related functions as assigned, and works overtime in support of special events, emergencies and planned after hours work.

Purpose
The Office of Community Engagement (OCE) is seeking a graduate assistant to help undergraduate students explore civic and public service via experiential learning. This individual will assist in the management of Home to Texas and the Archer Program Fellowship, in addition to supporting other experiential learning programs. Reporting to the Senior Administrative Program Coordinator for Home to Texas and Archer, this position will collaborate within OCE and the Experiential Learning portfolio of Academic Affairs, and campus to develop programs, initiatives, events, and workshops focused on experiential learning and student professional development.

Conduct outreach to relevant stakeholders in Texas communities (economic development corporations, city and county governments, regional Texas Ex alumni chapters) to develop partnerships that will allow UT to expand its Home to Texas program.
Promote civic and public service - as well as public policy - via experiential learning. Assist with Archer Fellowship Program and Home to Texas recruitment initiatives: advertise special programs to undergraduate students, faculty, and staff; deliver program information presentations; meet with students individually to discuss program participation.
Participate in the student selection process for experiential learning programs by assessing applications and interviews. As needed, manage the interview scheduling process for interviewing students and staff/faculty interviewers.
Perform quantitative and qualitative data collection and assessment. Follow up with students about survey results as needed. Seek and collect student success stories to be used in program reporting or to be promoted via university communications.
Maintain clean and consistent records, including survey data, student labels in Handshake, and lists of current and previous program participants.
Research employment trends and key employers in communities across Texas and beyond.
Coordinate with team members to execute other tasks related to special projects and initiatives.

Purpose
Perform journey-level locksmithing work including installation, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of locking systems and keys on all types of doors and equipment at The University of Texas at Austin, JJ Pickle Research campuses, and other University-owned locations.
Responsibilities
* Install, service, inspect, troubleshoot, and maintain various mechanical and electronic lock types while working independently or as part of a team. Perform rekey services, including key origination, lock cylinder pinning, and installation as requested by departments while closely adhering to key security policies and hardware standards.
* Cut keys by code and duplicate keys using various types of key-cutting machinery. Stamp, engrave, and file keys to ensure the safety and security of campus keys and locks. Purpose
A Research Associate position is available in the McKetta Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Texas at Austin, supervised by Professor Lea Hildebrandt Ruiz. This position will include work on a variety of air quality measurement studies in the laboratory and in the field and will also include project management and mentorship opportunities and responsibilities, as described in more detail below.
Responsibilities
Ambient measurements (requires travel): Conduct ambient measurement campaigns utilizing stationary and mobile measurement platforms (requires Texas driver's license), in collaboration with other team members and collaborators. Take a leading role in coordinating measurement plans and other project activities, including analysis of data. Total travel depends on project details; we estimate approximately 2 weeks of travel every 2-3 months.
Communication: Prepare scientific papers and reports; present scientific results to collaborators and sponsors, and at major conferences. Communicate results to non-technical audiences in industry, government, and the public.
Laboratory chamber experiments: Conduct laboratory chamber experiments in collaboration with other team members and collaborators. Take a leading role in planning experiments and analysis of data.
Project Management: Propose, plan, schedule, coordinate, complete and report the detailed phases of parts of ongoing projects in the group; devise new approaches to problems encountered. Lead and manage projects involving multiple universities and outside organizations to ensure deadlines and deliverables are completed on schedule.
Mentorship: Mentor students, post-doctoral scholars, and other personnel on projects by training them, organizing and conducting regular meetings, and tracking progress throughout the duration of the project.

Required Qualifications
Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or closely related discipline.

Proficiency in Igor Pro and mass spectrometric data analysis using this software

The Office of Information Technology at the Dell Medical School is looking for an PACS Informatics Analyst- Intermediate.
Purpose
The PACS Informatics Analyst - Intermediate on the Clinical Applications Team is responsible for management of the clinical imaging systems, modality connectivity, and day-to-day support of the end-users of the various radiology imaging systems. The Analyst conducts assessments of the imaging environment, identifies implications for system implementations, acts as a facilitator for changes, maintains the inventory database, and ensures system data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions.
Responsibilities
* Create and merge outside exams for consult studies requested by other physicians. Support clinical staff with connecting to other facilities to electronic send/receive DICOM images. Troubleshoot issues preventing storage for image upload on PACS.
* Conduct routine hardware and software audits of systems to ensure compliance with established policies, and configuration guidelines. Work with other DMS IT Stakeholders and external vendors to troubleshoot current systems and with the evaluation of new systems, as well as upgrades to existing systems. Interface with vendors for procurement & maintenance of all PACS infrastructures.
* Install and setup workstation hardware supplied by the organization, including physicians' PCs. Notify, plan, and coordinate installation with Vendors to add modality connections, including interfaces to new modalities. Responsibilities
* Appraise, preserve, describe, and provide access to primary source digital materials, both born digital and digital content created in-house.

Ideal Candidate Statement
The ideal candidate is a licensed acupuncturist with at least two years of clinical experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting. They possess a strong understanding of clinical operations, infection control, and patient safety protocols. This individual demonstrates excellent communication skills to educate patients and collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team. NCCAOM board certification, prior research experience, and familiarity with cancer care terminology are highly desirable. JOB SPECIFIC COMPETENCIES
Clinical Responsibilities
Ensures a safe environment, maintains equipment and supplies in a clean, operable and safe manner, and follows center and institutional safety guidelines.
Reports status of supplies/inventory to designated center personnel.
Wears appropriate attire or lab coat during practice.
Accurately verifies the physician's clearance order for acupuncture.
Reviews chart for contraindications/precautions for treatment and, if present, reports to physician/nurse before procedure.
Administers and evaluates patient questionnaires.
Reviews and assesses medical history.
Explains procedure to patient and obtains consent when needed.
Assists patients in positioning or getting on/off table if needed.
Performs physical exam and reviews symptoms pertinent to procedure.
Keeps patient comfortable and maintains proper draping at all times.
Prepares skin using standardized clean needling technique.
Observes/assesses patient for any unexpected and/or undesirable physical/emotional reactions, suspends treatment, provides appropriate intervention, reports to physician/nurse, and documents adverse events as indicated.
Develops a plan of care including treatment goals for each visit.
Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies.
Maintains infection control policies at all times.
Documents and bills in an accurate and timely manner.
Attends and contributes to interdisciplinary team meetings as schedule allows and actively participate in discussion including presentation of patient cases.
Participates in program evaluation processes and committee meetings as requested.

Research-related activities
Familiar with recent research regarding acupuncture, especially in cancer care. May participate in clinical research including the design and implementation of studies, patient enrollment in clinical trials, data analysis, and writing of manuscripts. Administers questionnaires per center guidelines.
Education
Communicates clearly with patients about commonly used techniques for acupuncture therapy and reasons for their use. Discusses with the patient the risks and benefits of acupuncture and obtains signed informed consent prior to treatment. Educates other healthcare professionals about acupuncture by providing lectures and mentoring individuals in clinic. Participates in outreach programs, conferences, retreats, and other activities as part of program offerings.

Education: Graduate of an approved acupuncture school and completed training that was substantially equivalent to program provided by such a school.
Experience: Two years experience providing acupuncture in a clinical setting.

Certification: American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Acupuncture license issued by the Texas Medical Board within 90 days of date of entry into job.
