Full-time Description Responsible for administration and direct application of Speech/Language Pathology treatment modalities as prescribed by a referring physician. Summary: The role and responsibility of the Monitor Technician is to monitor patients' heart rhythms using specialized equipment. They constantly observe the cardiac monitor's screen, interpret the data received, and report any significant changes or abnormalities to the healthcare team, such as nurses or doctors. This position is available as part-time or full-time. Requirements Education, Training or Certifications Required: High School diploma or equivalent Training as an EMT, AEMT is acceptable Associates degree in a healthcare-related field preferred but not required BLS is required Documentation of successful completion of an EKG interpretation course required or similar training within a job role (ex. EMT), Certified Cardiographic Technician preferred. Experience Required: Proven work experience as a Monitor Technician or a position that requires frequent EKG interpretations (EMT, AEMT, etc.) Excellent ability to monitor EKG rhythms and recognize abnormalities. Knowledge of medical terminology Special Requirements: Basic computer skills required. Knowledge of working within an electronic health record desired. Cognitive Requirements: Ability to communicate effectively in English, both verbal and in writing. Additional languages preferred. 2. Ability for high performance under stressful situations. 3. Must be able to prioritize, multi-task and follow through. Physical Demands: Able to stand/work for most of an 12 hr. shift. Must be able to bend/lift 25-50 lbs. (assisting patients in and out of bed, etc.). Environment: Potential exposure to blood body fluids 2. Potential for exposure to contagious diseases. 3.Potential for periods of high stress.

Team focused, ability to work and provide support to the team. 5. Intermittent weekend coverage required. Cognitive Requirements: Ability to take in, process and apply clinical information in a wide variety of patient care situations. Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Ability to listen effectively to patients and employees and route them to appropriate personnel. Physical Demands: Must be able to stand, walk and bend for up to 8 hours per day. Must be able to lift and carry 25-50 lbs. Must have adequate hearing, vision and manual dexterity. Ability to assist patients in rising from exam table, push wheelchair patients and assist patients in rising from and returning to wheelchair. Must be physically able to perform CPR.
