Summary
: A full-service regional accounting firm with 20+ years in business is seeking a Tax Manager to join their rapidly growing team! In these newly created REMOTE roles, the Tax Manager will be responsible for managing and training a team of 6+ employees, leading meetings and evacuations, reviewing advanced C-Corporation, Partnership, S-Corporation, Personal, Non-Profit and Trust tax returns, preparing for tax audits and estate tax planning, developing and implementing process improvements, maintaining internal controls, etc. As a leader in the firm, the Tax Manager will participate in manager and committee meetings and head up firm initiatives to grow the firm's people, clients and safety.

Salary
: $110,000 - $130,000 + bonuses

Responsibilities:
Achieve monthly and annual charge hour goals, as well as review and analyze staff hour reports.
Lead staff meetings and evaluations, weekly scheduling management meetings and participate in mentoring program.
Participate in manager meetings and as members of committees as assigned.
Hold weekly scheduling check-in meetings with assigned staff.
Manage supervisor, senior and staff workflow distribution and scheduling for maximum efficiency.
Review advanced C-Corporation, Partnership, S-Corporation, Personal, Non-Profit and Trust tax returns
Review Corporate and Personal tax planning
Prepare Estate tax planning, specialized partnership allocations, stock sales and ownership changes
Perform tax audit representation
Achieve monthly and annual charge hour goals
Review of Form 1099's, Sales tax returns, Business Property Statements and Business Licenses
Conduct intermediate technical research to resolve technical issues on new and existing clients
Manage and maintain control lists and deadlines to ensure timely filing and reporting
Participate in staff evaluations, weekly scheduling management meetings and mentoring program
Manage senior and staff workflow distribution and scheduling for maximum efficiency
Develop firm processes and procedures and set professional conduct and leadership example to seniors and staff
Facilitate in house training and meetings and provide one on one feedback to staff
Assist in billing process by analyzing WIP and providing invoice totals
Lead client services meetings and develop new business through networking and marketing initiatives
Plan and partake in firm recruiting events as well as participate in intern selection, training, and feedback process
Participate in advanced continued education as well as leadership and management training
Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting required
CPA license required
5+ years of federal and state income tax return experience (C-Corporation, Partnership, S-Corporation, Personal, Non-Profit and Trust) from a mid-size/regional accounting firm
Ability to understand schedules of tax forms, entity type setup, formation and dissolution, retirement plan options, foreign entity reporting, section 1031 exchanges, basic foreign/multistate returns, POL, PAC and LM2 tax returns and specialized tax credits
Preferred experience with CCH Axcess
Strong written and verbal communication skills
