One free meal a day (sometimes more if they make too much)
They don't pay a living wage unless you're the CEO or a director and they tell you you have no right to be angry or compare yourself to them, even if you're worn out from working with them (their health insurance leaves a lot to be desired/paid for out of pocket)
Kind hearted people work here (but that's what they count on and will squeeze the goodness out of you until you're bitter and cold)
They dress nice. Other than that, they're great at manipulating words for donations (apparently enough to give the CEO a $10000 raise every year but not enough to give over a 2% to most everyone else)
Add an Ethics Committee, have a minority in leadership.
I just brought my heart. When they tell applicants how much they'd get paid, they withdraw. That's why they purposely seek out minorities-- they believe "minorities will settle for less."
BELOW average. Way below average and the providers for our "benefits" seem to always find a way not to provide for us.
We all belong to Steve King. He can't tell us apart and most of us aren't sure if he knows our names. Half the kitchen staff is from a temp agency, but half of us have been here for several years.
