In the Fall of 2007 the Marion Economic Development Corporation (MEDCO) and the City of Marion began an aggressive initiative to focus on business attraction and the redevelopment and clean up of the Brownfield / Central Corridor area of Marion.
In January 2010, MEDCO Holding Company purchased an additional 88 acres.
Development of the Marion Enterprise Center began in the Spring of 2010.
In 2013, the MEC Clay Target Machine product line was introduced.
