PRIMARY FUNCTION
The Aircraft Mechanic - AH-64 performs field and sustainment-level maintenance on AH-64D/E Apache helicopters to ensure aircraft are safe, reliable, and mission-ready. This role includes inspections, troubleshooting, and complex repairs on structural, engine, flight control, hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems. The Aircraft Mechanic will also provide guidance to junior technicians and ensure all work is documented in compliance with applicable standards.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on AH-64D/E helicopters.
Inspect, repair, and modify structural, engine, flight control, hydraulic, fuel, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot and resolve complex mechanical and avionics issues using manuals and test equipment.
Operate and maintain specialized tools including torque wrenches, cable tensiometers, micrometers, and diagnostic equipment.
Conduct functional checks, engine run-ups, and taxi operations when required.
Accurately document all maintenance actions in accordance with military and FAA standards.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior mechanics and technicians.
Perform corrosion control, preservation, and touch-up painting.
Support ground support equipment maintenance and aircraft recovery operations.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Minimum of 4 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
AH-64D/E Apache helicopter maintenance experience (any timeframe).
Must be re-hire eligible if previously employed at Fort Rucker.
Preferred:
FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) License (not required).
PAY & BENEFITS
Base Pay: $33.10/hour.
Shift Differentials: +$1/hr (2nd shift), +$1.50/hr (3rd shift), +$3/hr (odd work weeks such as Thursday-Monday).
Certification Pay: +$1.50/hr for A&P certification; $1/run for APU runs.

About the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic role:
The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair of mobile and heavy equipment to ensure the safety of our operations. Interpret avionic/electrical wiring diagrams, wire identification, harness fabrication, wiring and cable integrity, coax cables and fittings and connector assemblies.
Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools and soldering equipment.
Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment.
Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional test of electrical and electronic systems.

About the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic role:
The Mobile Equipment Mechanic is responsible for the maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, repair of mobile and heavy equipment to ensure the safety of our operations. We are looking for someone who is attention to detail to perform preventative maintenance, is able to diagnose electrical and mechanical issues and is able to complete timely repairs for gas and diesel powered equipment.

What you'll be Doing as the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic:
Preventative maintenance on mobile equipment, completing inspections, fluid changes, and adjustments.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems.
Troubleshoot engine, transmission, brake, steering, suspension, and drive systems.
Repair defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
Maintain equipment in compliance and safety standards regarding the manufacture specifications.
Maintain cool pressure when dealing with equipment breakdowns and emergency repairs.
Documenting all maintenance repairs, steps, and parts that are used.
Reporting all unsafe conditions, complete safety inspections and keeping an eye on equipment defects.
Working closely with operations, maintenance, along with office, and maintaining good communication along with teamwork with all departments.
Maintaining a clean, organized, and safe work environment is crucial.
Looking for a rule follower; following all safety policies, electrical guidelines, and all OSHA regulations, every time.
Perform other maintenance duties as assigned.
Work and/or Education experience for the Mobile Equipment Maintenance Mechanic:
3+ years of experience as a Mobile Equipment mechanic or a heavy equipment mechanic or equivalent.
High school diploma or equivalent with additional certification.
Strong knowledge of gas and/or diesel-powered equipment, along with hydraulic and electrical systems.
Must be able to read service manuals and diagnostic codes and apply this to real-world.
Able to use power tools, hand tools, and equipment.
Has a valid Driver's License.
Preferred:
Technical, vocational training is diesel or heavy equipment mechanics.
Equipment specific certifications.
Experience in a manufacturing, construction, or industrial maintenance environment previously.
Physical and Work Environment:
Indoor but will require working outdoors or in a non-climate-controlled areas.
Exposure to noise, dust, oils, along with moving equipment
Ability to lift up to 50lbs, and ability to work equipment made specifically for heavier lifting.
Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and climb for extended periods of time.
Proper use of PPE is required at all times, along with complying with safety rules, and OSHA regulations.
Participation in safety training and recertifications as required or as needed.
This position will require overtime, on call or even weekend work in order to stay ahead for our operations team.
This position is an on-site role, not remote or Hybrid, located in Leeds, Alabama.

Interpret avionic/electrical wiring diagrams, wire identification, harness fabrication, wiring and cable integrity, coax cables and fittings and connector assemblies.
Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components or assemblies, using hand tools and soldering equipment.
Install electrical and electronic components, assemblies, and systems in aircraft, using hand tools, power tools, and soldering equipment.
Interpret flight test data to diagnose malfunctions and systemic performance problems.
Set up and operate ground support and test equipment to perform functional test of electrical and electronic systems.
Troubleshoot, repair, rework, and modify worn or defective assemblies, components or systems.
Suggest improvements to processes and procedures.
Satisfy work schedule requirements.
Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of electrical/electronic and mechanical theories and principles, specifications, local and national electrical codes, properties of various materials, and principles of operation and application of electronic equipment.

The Journeyman Mechanical Engineer - Structural will develop innovative designs to challenging engineering problems for a wide variety of applications including but not limited to structural engineering. The Mechanical Engineer will perform as a task lead on many tasks and as an individual contributor in others. The Mechanical Engineer will develop detailed design criteria from customer requirements and use strong engineering principles and tools to develop robust and reliable solutions. Designs are expected to include hardware such as test fixtures, custom mechanical assemblies, pressure vessels, piping systems, weldments, etc. The Mechanical Engineer will regularly coordinate with engineers from other disciplines and backgrounds to ensure proper design integration.
