    Demonstrates a commitment to communicating, improving and adhering to safety policies in all work environments and areas. · Inspects condition and operation of plant equipment and performs necessary repairs and adjustments. Reports required repairs or other findings to Area Manager. · Adheres to all safety, environmental and company policies and procedures in completing daily tasks, and completes all required paperwork in a timely fashion. · Completes work orders in a timely manner; installing, repairing and fabricating materials out of metal; ensuring availability and functioning of required items; and ensuring safety and resolving immediate safety concerns. · Assembling pieces of metal together or repairing damage in metal components using heavy machinery that emits high heat, melting the metal into shape. · Performs the appropriate plant equipment inspections, repairs and preventative maintenance for both fixed and mobile equipment. · Responsible for preparing and welding steel and aluminum structures, appendages and equipment. · Performs routine preventative maintenance on plant equipment including handling welding repairs. · Conducts routine inspections of plant and mobile equipment and report findings to Area Manager. · Prepares Plant reports as required and maintain an inventory of regularly used repair supplies or equipment. · Assists personnel as may be required for the purpose of supporting them in the completion of their work activities. · Responds to emergency situations as needed and/or assigned for the purpose of resolving immediate safety concerns. · Performs required emergency repairs on production equipment required to address plant breakdowns. · Performs repairs as required on plant processing equipment and performs maintenance on plant grounds as required. · Maintains shop, equipment, tools, vehicles, etc. for the purpose of ensuring the availability and functioning of required items and ensuring safety. · Rebuild or fabricate parts; repair electrical equipment. · Other duties as assigned. WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR · Education: High school diploma or equivalent · Required Work Experience: Minimum of 5 years' experience working in plant or industrial environment. · Proficient in hydraulic, electrical and pneumatic system · Certified Welder (CW, CW, CWE or CWRT) · Knowledge of hot work permit systems protocol · OSHA certified · Ability to read and understand blueprints · Excellent oral communication skills with close attention to detail · Required Computer and Software Skills: Basic computer skills · Ability to work in all weather conditions without limitations. · Ability to lift 50lbs · Reliable transportation · Licenses Required: N/A
