Performs preventive maintenance and major repairs on diesel powered highway equipment, trailers and trailer cooling units. Practices 200% safety for self and others.
What You'll be Doing:
Perform all major repairs to diesel powered highway equipment.
Repair all air brake systems.
Repair and maintain trailer/van body and mechanical systems.
Repair of truck and trailer cooling units.
Perform all major repairs requiring gas and arc welding.
Other duties as required.
What You Bring with You (Qualifications):
High School diploma.
Fleet maintenance field experience for 2 years with major repairs of diesel powered highway equipment.
Fleet maintenance experience on air brakes for 4 years.
Gasoline-powered highway fleet - 1 year experience.
Trailer and van body and mechanical repairs - 1 year experience.
Cooling unit repair (Thermoking and/or Carrier) - 6 months experience.
Gas and arc welding training course with satisfactory completion.
Note that formal schooling may be counted to satisfy up to 2 years of the fleet maintenance experience requirement; and up to 50% of the other category requirements.

We are looking for an Automotive Technician to join our successful service center.
As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing vehicles; especially working with brakes, tires, oil changes, steering and suspension.

Convey necessary vehicle repair information to service manager using the shop DVI system
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED is required
Valid drivers license
State certifications required in brakes, steering and suspension; ASE certification a plus
Must have knowledge in braking systems, steering and suspension, oil changes, tire service and digital multipoint inspections.

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Fleet Maintenance Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience working with diesel and/or gasoline-powered trucks, trailers, and related systems, and will ensure all fleet assets remain safe, compliant, and road-ready.

Diesel Mechanic Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance inspections (PMIs) and safety checks on fleet vehicles per company and DOT standards
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues
Complete repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and other systems
Maintain accurate service records, and work orders
Perform road calls and emergency repairs when needed
Use diagnostic tools and repair manuals to troubleshoot issues
Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
Coordinate with drivers and operations teams to schedule maintenance
Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with OSHA guidelines

Diesel Mechanic Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; technical or vocational training preferred
2+ years of experience in fleet, truck, or heavy equipment maintenance preferred
ASE certifications a plus
CDL preferred or ability to obtain (Class A or B, depending on fleet needs)
Strong understanding of diesel engines, air brake systems, and hydraulic components
Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and wiring diagrams
Proficient with diagnostic tools and computer-based software
Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks

Job Type: Full-time Pay: $15hr & up Job Duties Include: Work with Lead Mechanic to perform repairs, modifications, and other maintenance activities involving automobiles, trucks (gasoline and diesel), heavy equipment, snow removal equipment, and lawn and garden equipment.
