Operational Expectations: Our foremost requirement is a complete familiarity with FMCSA regulations as they pertain to maintenance. Compliance will measured by our CSA scores for Vehicle Maintenance. Our out-of-service and out-of-compliance issues from roadside inspections will be used as a measure of how well we are performing our maintenance and regulatory responsibilities. Communication is fundamental to the successful maintenance of our equipment. We must have clear lines of communication between drivers, shop, and management so that we can appropriately respond to mechanical issues. The first leg of the maintenance stool is regularly scheduled for maintenance. Service intervals, our Lubrication Policy, and our inspection schedule are all clearly laid out in the RTA Maintenance Software. The second leg of the maintenance stool is the driver-discovered issues that need to be addressed. This requires a robust electronic DVIR reporting and response protocol. The third leg of the stool is our maintenance personnel. It is your responsibility to inspect and repair any defects that may cause our vehicles to break down or become unsafe.
