Your Day at Lowe's
As a maintenance Mechanic I, you'll use your specialized expertise in conveyors, rolling stock, or building components to handle complex repairs in your area of focus. Armed with sufficient electrical and mechanical knowledge, you will independently diagnose, prioritize, plan, and execute repairs. You will also be expected to collaborate with colleagues in management or leadership when needed.

You will be responsible for all aircraft low observable outer mold line structures, materials and applications. Prepare composite or metallic surfaces for coating applications by performing various operations such as sanding, stripping, applying vacuum, performing porosity testing, masking and other preparation tasks. Mix and apply sealants, gap fillers and any other required processes prior to paint which may require the use of heating devices. Mix and apply paints and other coatings at the proper spraying consistency. Apply additional surface details to manufacturer specifications. Perform or coordinate component-level testing for specification compliance after applications have been completed. May perform similar duties in aircraft build, modification or maintenance role.

The Opportunity
We are pursuing qualified candidates to fill Elevator Mechanic positions in the Maintenance & Operations Section. Selected candidates will maintain, inspect, and repair operating and safety features of elevators, dumbwaiters, and escalators and maintain and inspect electronic control panels, switches, relays, signal devices, and other related equipment. License(s):
* A valid California Class C Driver License is required to perform the job-related essential functions.
Successful applicants for positions that require driving must obtain and present a copy of his/her driving record from the California State Department of Motor Vehicles before final appointment. 3 - Moderate. Includes standing or walking most of the time, with bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, and reaching; includes working on irregular surfaces, occasionally lifting objects weighing over 25 pounds, and frequent lifting of 10-25 pounds.

Minimum two (2) years proven forklift mechanic experience
Forklift Technician Certification preferred and prepared to get additional certification as needed.
Willingness to learn with hands-on training.

Responsibilities
The Automotive/Ground Support Equipment (GSE) Mechanic performs maintenance assignments requiring the skills of one or more of the maintenance trades such as auto mechanic, heating and air-conditioning engineer, or other similar skilled journeyman trades.
Maintains and services equipment within the facility such as aircraft tugs, tow tractors, belt loaders, baggage carts, power units, and company vehicles.
Maintains heavy equipment that includes hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical machinery.
Performs the necessary sequence of operations to troubleshoot and diagnose in order to disassemble, clean, check, repair, rework, replace, fabricate, assemble, install, and adjust any automotive and ground equipment, machinery, accessories, and parts.
Tracks inventory of parts and tools needed for repairs and maintenance.
Maintains repair log for vehicles and equipment.
Performs other related duties as assigned.
Maintains a clean and safe repair shop.

Requirements
Minimum age: 18
High school diploma, GED, or international equivalent
Possess a valid, unexpired and unsuspended state driver's license; some license restrictions may prohibit a candidate from being considered for this role.
Trade certification as an Automotive Service Technician, Commercial Transport Mechanic, Heavy Duty Mechanic, or twelve (12) months of experience in one or more of the maintenance trades
Flexible to work rotating shifts, including days, nights, weekends, holidays, and rotating days off
Ability to distinguish colors red, green, yellow, white, and blue
Lift items weighing up to 100 lbs.
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing
Possess the legal right to work in the United States
Must be able to read, write, fluently speak and understand the English language
Previous experience maintaining mobile ground power (generators), air conditioners (up to 110 tons), and air start units (but will also consider the experience in Farm or Heavy Industrial equipment)
Automotive Inspection certificate/licenses preferred
Experience in maintenance trades such as auto mechanic, heating/air conditioning, or other similar journeyman trades preferred
Attention to detail to ensure tasks are completed with precision and have the ability to troubleshoot tasks
Ability to use hand tools and power tools to repair ground support vehicles and equipment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to read repair manuals for various types of vehicles and equipment.
Excellent mechanical repair skills.
Ability to follow instructions.

Perform quality inspections of rental fusion equipment prior to returning to service
Maintain records of service, repairs and scheduled maintenance of rental fusion equipment
