About Your Role As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing diesel-powered fleet vehicles and equipment. This role ensures that all vehicles operate safely and efficiently while adhering to FMCSA regulations and company standards. The diesel mechanic is skilled in troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and detailed repair documentation. Pay: $72,000 to $90,000 Reports To: Fleet Director Travel Required: 30% Duties and Responsibilities Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Assist with other duties as assigned. Fleet Maintenance & Repair: Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues on fleet vehicles, including engines, transmissions, brakes, and hydraulics, ensuring timely and effective repairs to minimize downtime and ensure peak operational performance. Preventive Maintenance & Compliance: Conduct scheduled inspections, oil changes, tire rotations, and component replacements, ensuring all services meet FMCSA and DOT standards while maintaining accurate service and repair records. Safety & Regulatory Adherence : Perform repairs and maintenance in compliance with OSHA, DOT, and company safety regulations. Maintain certifications for FMCSA-required inspections and uphold all safety protocols in daily operations. Diagnostic Expertise: Utilize diagnostic tools, precision instruments, and shop equipment to identify and resolve mechanical issues efficiently, ensuring minimal vehicle downtime. Recordkeeping & Communication : Document all maintenance work and repairs accurately, communicate vehicle issues and solutions effectively, and collaborate with the maintenance team to ensure seamless operations. On-Site & Field Support : Provide roadside assistance and offsite repairs as needed, demonstrating flexibility and urgency in resolving vehicle malfunctions to support business operations. Equipment Installation & Upgrades: Assist in installing new parts and systems on trucks and heavy equipment, performing modifications as needed, and collaborating with third-party vendors when outsourcing specialized work. Collaboration & Communication: Work closely with plant operations, fleet managers, and other team members to address equipment needs, share technical expertise, and proactively identify opportunities for process improvements. During your interview you will be placed according to your current skill set and certifications held. This will also determine your starting wage. Below are some of the minimum skills to be considered for each level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES - ALL MECHANICS Conduct all maintenance activities required to assure safe and reliable operation of the area's lift system and associated equipment. Conduct daily, monthly, and weekly winter operational inspections of assigned lift equipment according to prescribed inspection guidelines. Complete work orders on all maintenance activities. Must maintain an understanding of the current rules and regulations of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board and other applicable agencies. Must become proficient at starting stalled ski lifts; assist in running lifts under auxiliary power and following lift failure and evacuation procedures. Coordinates with loading standardization and the weapons element supervisor for all load crew-training requirements and ensures only loading certified/qualified personnel are directed to perform weapons loading tasks and may be required to perform weapons expediting on the flight line. Maintains and reviews publication files of applicable technical orders, regulations, manuals and local directives. Provides hands-on training instruction to lower graded personnel concerned with the repair of the electronic ordnance systems within the aircraft. Duties Help This position is located in an ANG Aviation Wing, Air Operations Division, Operations Support Branch, at an Air National Guard 140th Operations Group, Buckley AIR CO. The primary purpose of the position is to exercise technical and administrative supervision over subordinate workers in accomplishing trades and labor work of 1400SA transient Aircraft Maintenance. POSITION SUMMARY The Lift Maintenance Department is hiring Apprentice, Journeyman, and Master Mechanics. Our resort operates multiple types of lifts, and we just installed the longest gondola in North America, Wild Blue. During your interview you will be placed according to your current skill set and certifications held. This will also determine your starting wage. Below are some of the minimum skills to be considered for each level. ESSENTIAL DUTIES - ALL MECHANICS Conduct all maintenance activities required to assure safe and reliable operation of the area's lift system and associated equipment. Conduct daily, monthly, and weekly winter operational inspections of assigned lift equipment according to prescribed inspection guidelines. Complete work orders on all maintenance activities. Must maintain an understanding of the current rules and regulations of the Colorado Passenger Tramway Safety Board and other applicable agencies. Must become proficient at starting stalled ski lifts; assist in running lifts under auxiliary power and following lift failure and evacuation procedures. Must continually demonstrate a willingness and motivation to learn and develop the job skills that are specific to the types of equipment that must be maintained. Must be able to work well within a team to create a positive work environment in a high volume, and at times, stressful position. Duties and responsibilities split between field and shop environment.
