Work typically requires a thoroughly comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting/repair procedures and replacement of components, a thorough knowledge of aircraft sheet metal/structural modification and repair and the ability to determine functionality of non-complex electrical systems. A detailed knowledge of aircraft unique tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes and sheers, etc. is required. Job Description Job Posting: Production Mechanic Level 3 Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM About the Role: The Production Mechanic (Level 3) is responsible for maintenance of all production equipment, including but not limited to: performing changeovers, overhauls, corrective repair work, and fabricating parts. The ideal candidate should have at least 3-4 years of experience in a production maintenance mechanic role within a manufacturing environment. Key Job Responsibilities Reviews established production schedule at start of each shift for assigned area to determine production run, need for change-over and scheduled maintenance. Readjusts line and changes over assigned equipment for product, material, size and pack pattern. Runs first piece of production and checks for conformance to quality standards. Performs preventive maintenance checks during course of shift and takes appropriate corrective action. Cleans and sanitizes equipment and all necessary parts, as required or specified. Monitors equipment for unsafe conditions and either recommends or implements corrective actions for equipment malfunctions. Records production delays and maintains required down time records.
