The primary purpose of this position is to set up and operates a variety of machine tools; fit and assemble parts to fabricate or repair machine tools and maintain industrial machines by performing the following duties. These include, but are not limited to: Work Orders, Hot Work Permits, Confines space entry Permits, Clean Tags, High Care Intervention forms and Inventory use sheets. Uses computerized records to document maintenance activities. Assists maintenance management staff in maintaining adequate spare equipment, parts, and supply inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed equipment, parts, and supplies; placing requests for needed equipment and identifying and up-channeling shortages, when noted. Follows all food safety procedures and practices to promote our food safety culture. Minimum Qualifications: This position requires one or more of the following: 1-year technical certificate and 2, or more years of verifiable experience. A 2-year technical degree in an industrial maintenance or engineering field. 3 or more years of verifiable industrial maintenance experience. Advanced Apprentice of 3 or more years and a Journeyman level Tradesmen. Should have a broad spectrum of maintenance related skills that include, but are limited to carpentry, mechanical machinery repair, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, building maintenance, mechanical and electrical troubleshooting, welding and metal fabrication. Must be able and willing to learn new skills and continuously improve on current skills.
