Key Responsibilities:
Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes and acting in a safe manner at all times;
Performs preventative maintenance, conducts inspections, troubleshoots, diagnoses failures & deficiencies & performs necessary corrections. This includes conducting offsite road repairs/service calls.

Summary

Troubleshoots trucks and determines malfunction to plan necessary repairs.
Installs new ignition systems, aligns front wheels, changes or recharges batteries.
Replaces or rebuilds transmissions and other parts.
Overhauls gas or diesel engines.
Examines protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on trucks, and makes adjustments.
Aligns timing gears.
Lubricates moving parts and drives to verify conformance to specifications.
Fabricates special attachments, shields, or other devices as directed.
Completes necessary paper work
Ability to efficiently perform routine task and work well with others
Performing routine preventative maintenance inspections.
Ensure quality, compliance, and safety of TST assets.
Must assist with all evaluating of work repairs to be done and frication of work completed before release.
Inspecting the mechanics works to ensure the quality is done properly.

Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and10 year's related experience and/or training.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's.
Demonstrate ability to operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
