The Opportunity
We are pursuing qualified candidates to fill Elevator Mechanic positions in the Maintenance & Operations Section. Selected candidates will maintain, inspect, and repair operating and safety features of elevators, dumbwaiters, and escalators and maintain and inspect electronic control panels, switches, relays, signal devices, and other related equipment. These positions also are responsible for the inspection and repair of hoist motors and machinery, governors, door mechanisms, cables, hydraulic buffers, pumps, rails, and other related equipment. Position Responsibilities
Tests and adjusts general operating and safety features of elevators, dumbwaiters, and escalators such as speed, acceleration, leveling, braking, emergency stop, and alarm bell.
Maintains and repairs electronic control panels, switches, relays, signal devices, electric motors, generators and related equipment.

Requirements to Qualify
Option 1: Completion of a recognized elevator mechanic training program* of at least four (4) years, duration -OR- Option II: Five (5) years of experience in the maintenance and repair of elevators or escalators, one year of which must have been at the journey-level.
License(s):
* A valid California Class C Driver License is required to perform the job-related essential functions.
Successful applicants for positions that require driving must obtain and present a copy of his/her driving record from the California State Department of Motor Vehicles before final appointment. Air Mobility Group (AIRMOB) is responsible for developing and delivering Metrea's aerial refueling (AAR) capabilities, ensuring the readiness and operational effectiveness of the tanker fleet. AIRMOB oversees fleet management, maintenance, and airworthiness, working to sustain and enhance refueling operations. It manages the integration of new processes and technologies, ensuring that tanker aircraft remain mission-ready through effective logistics, maintenance oversight, and regulatory compliance. By coordinating across various teams, AIRMOB ensures the fleet meets both current and future operational needs, supporting a range of specialized air mobility missions.
Position Summary
The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for successfully performing all facets of maintenance and documentation on KC-135R aircraft for private, commercial, Air-to-Air Refueling Operations. The Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic is also responsible for daily aircraft inspections in accordance with the approved Air Mobility (AIRMOB) processes.
Role and Responsibilities
Inspect mechanical components of the KC-135 to identify problems.
• Maintain and repair all systems of the KC-135 to include:
Hydraulics System - Replace hydraulic components, bleed systems, and diagnose defects.
Avionics - Guidance & Control / Radio Communications.
Jet Engine - Inspection, engine control rigging, and basic maintenance.
Electrics - Use wiring schematics, trace ground, and power faults, and rectify component failures.
Minor Fuel system repair, replace seals, in tank fuel probes and fuel system components.
Minor Sheet Metal repair, including minor riveting.
Aero Repair - Repair, replacement, and rigging of flight control surfaces.
Major / Minor aircraft inspections.
Multi-Point Refueling System experience is a plus, but not essential.
CFM56 2-B jet engine experience is a plus, but not essential.
• Perform daily aircraft inspections, launch/recover, refuel / defuel, debrief aircrew, troubleshoot, and repair discrepancies, jack aircraft, tow, and operate all required GSE (Ground Support Equipment).

A MECHANIC'S DAY-TO-DAY:

Role and Responsibilities
Inspect mechanical components of the Boeing KC-135 to identify discrepancies.
Maintain and repair all systems of the Boeing KC-135 to include:
Major / Minor aircraft inspections.
Hydraulics System - Replace hydraulic components, bleed systems, and diagnose discrepancies.
Jet Engine - Inspection, engine control rigging, and basic maintenance.
Electrics - Use wiring schematics, trace ground, and power faults, and rectify component failures.
Minor Fuel system repair, replace seals, in tank fuel probes and fuel system components is a plus, but not essential.
Minor Sheet Metal repair, including minor riveting is a plus, but not essential.
Aero Repair - Repair, replacement, and rigging of flight control surfaces is a plus, but not essential.
Multi Point Refueling System experience is a plus, but not essential.
CFM56 2-B / F108 jet engine experience is a plus, but not essential.
Avionics - Guidance & Control / Radio Communications experience is a plus, but not essential.
