A Mechanics Helper should be able to perform the following with proper supervision.

Perform preventative maintenance on air compressors with proper direction.
- See attached PM Checklist for details.

Perform basic troubleshooting on reciprocating compressors per the OEM manuals with proper direction at a minimum to include:
- Incoming power for voltage and amperage requirements.

Pressure switch:
- Wiring and operation
- Differential Settings
- On / Off Set Points
- Motor Wiring
- Motor and Pump Sheave Alignment
- Belt Tension
- Pump Oil Level
- Performance Test (Pump Up Time)
- Valve Inspection
- Intercooler and Aftercooler Integrity
- Starter and Overload Operation and Integrity
- Tank Safety Valve
- Tank Drain Valve Operation
- Identify parts needed on all service work orders, provide part numbers and quantity needed. If further research is required turn in work order for assistance.
- Receive daily customer signature on work order
- Receive customer signature upon completion of job
- Document parts used / returned on work order.
- Turn in all completed work orders within 24 hours.
