Electro Mechanical Technician

The Repair Technician will apply knowledge of measurement science, mathematics, physics and electronics to perform calibration and repair of test measurement and diagnostic equipment used in the Life Science, RF/Telecommunications, and Semiconductor/Electronic Components markets. This position will normally receive general instructions on work assignments that are semi-routine in nature and where the ability to recognize and apply technical deviations from general troubleshooting and repair is required. The Repair Technician will identify and utilize appropriate manual and automated measurement procedures. The Repair Technician will perform laboratory and work area housekeeping.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Evaluate, test, troubleshoot, and repair systems to the component level of test measurement and diagnostic equipment.
2. Enter repair and calibration data into SIMCO Main Computer System (SMCS) database.
3. Prepare repair quotations and calibration reports and certificates related to assignments in a timely manner.
4. Perform calibrations and repair in one or more of the following skill areas, as applicable:
• Bio-Med instrumentation
• Electronic standards
• Fiber Optics
• LCR and Impedance
• Nuclear and Radiation Physics
• Oscilloscopes
• Particle Counters
• Photo/Radiometric Optometry
• ESD
• RF/Microwave Power, Frequency, and Impedance

5. Receive and complete training on repair and calibration procedures, documentation, and SMCS.
6. Assist in the training of other technicians on specialized skills.
7. Regular interaction with other technicians, CSRs, Account Managers, management, and customers.
Qualifications
1. Minimum AA degree in Electrical Technologies, formal PMEL, or equivalent.
2. Must be able to perform mathematical computations related to specification and measurement analysis.
3. Minimum four years of electronic repair and calibration education and experience.
4. Strong knowledge of electronic circuit theory and advanced soldering skills.
5. Familiar with general calibration and repair laboratory workstations.
6. Must have great interpersonal and customer service skills.
7. Strong attention to details.
8. Must possess good written, oral, and documentation skills.
9. Must be a self-motivator, work as a team player, and follow written procedures.
10. Working knowledge of MS Word and Excel.

1. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds without assistance.
2. Occasional standing and bending are required.

This Support Craft Maritime Mechanic SME position is located in Norfolk, Virginia. The selected candidate will perform corrective and preventative maintenance mechanical operation, troubleshooting, repair, maintenance, and assessment in support of Maritime Special Operations Forces Support (MSOFS) Watercraft.
* This role is contingent upon being awarded the contract.
What You Will Do
* Providing field service representatives to perform minor equipment modification, installation of equipment and maintenance of SOF equipment at the Echelon II level and below.
* The types of specialized equipment to be supported include but is not limited to: Combatant Craft variants (CCA, CCH, CCM), Special Operations Craft-Riverine (SOC-R), Rigid-Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs), Maritime Combatant Craft Aerial Delivery System, SEAL Delivery Vehicle and dry deck shelter, ground mobility vehicles and other tactical vehicles. Responsibilities:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on all company vehicle types per company policy.
Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and HVAC systems.
Document all vehicle repair and inspection information using our maintenance software program.
Perform inventory and order parts, supplies, as needed.

Performance Requirements:
Required operational knowledge of diesel equipment and tools normally associated with the troubleshooting and repairs of gasoline and diesel truck equipment.
Knowledge of International diesel medium-duty trucks as well as Ford gas and diesel engines is preferred.
Must be able to accurately perform preventive maintenance to fleet vehicles, have the ability to identify component failures, worn or damaged parts, diagnose and troubleshoot vehicle systems, and produce quality repairs.
Ability to read and understand technical service manuals, repair orders, labels, and gauges.
Must possess a valid driver's license (C or better) and meet qualifications as outlined in section 391 of the Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations.
Unrestricted ability to walk, stand, bend, stoop, squat, lift (up to 50 lbs.), push, pull, climb, and lie on back in a horizontal position for prolonged periods of time.

As a Power Support Systems Mechanic (Title 32), WG-5378-10, you will perform the below duties:
* Responsible for the interpretation of numerous manufacturer drawings, specifications, operating instructions, and test procedures to troubleshoot, calibrate, align and repair a variety of highly complex pieces of powered support equipment. This includes identifying, repairing or replacing numerous electronic (both digital and analog) components. It also includes the repair of composite materials and state of the art gas compressors turbines and electronically controlled components. Troubleshoots repairs, adjusts and aligns down-sized powered support equipment. Uses a variety of sophisticated testers, such as analyzers, digital meters, oscilloscopes and other measuring devices to determine repair requirements. Corrects unusual maintenance problems by interpreting a variety technical data such as tables, charts, formulas, color codes, wiring diagrams, and schematic symbols. Does circuit analyses, considers integrated circuit relationship, and applies electronic principles in order to fault-isolate and repair the various digital devices contained in highly complex powered support equipment.
* Performs inspections, preventative maintenance, servicing, repair and adjustment on complex rotary diesel engines.
* Must independently determine work sequences, specifications, and special procedures to be used to fault-isolate and repair unusual problems in various pieces of powered support equipment. Conducts classes to train maintenance personnel in operations, test procedures, and troubleshooting requirements of highly complex powered support equipment.
* Performs intermediate-level maintenance on powered support equipment and non-powered AGE. This includes working on cryogenic equipment, engine and generator changes, removing, repairing, and overhauling of accessories, and rebuilding of units. Engine rebuilding such as removal and replacement of crankshafts, pistons, and other integrated parts. Replaces, checks and adjusts valves, bearings, cams, clutches, bushings, springs, armatures, pushrods, exhaust manifolds, tubing, hose and defective wiring. Responsibilities (including, but not limited):
The Contractor shall perform inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs identified during initial inspections and as per the guidance recommended by the Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) and/or the NAVFAC P-300.
Mandated 120 calendar day cycle for completing general maintenance and safety inspections on each piece of CESE/ MHE per requirements and the Contractor shall maintain this service cycle.
The Contractor shall schedule all CESE/MHE equipment for service every 120 calendar days or sooner in the event the vehicle accumulates high mileage within the normal service cycle. High mileage is typically considered to be more than 5,000 miles since the previous maintenance service.
The CESE/MHE inventory list itemizes each piece of CESE/MHE by Shop Location, Equipment Identification Number, Make, Model, Year, type of fuel and current mileage.
The Contractor shall pick up vehicles requiring service from a location designated by the Government's Transportation Officer for each respective Shop Location. Once the maintenance, repairs and quality control inspections have been completed, the Contractor shall return the CESE / MHE to a Government designated holding area. Contractor personnel shall only operate government vehicles in the official performance of their duties; at no time shall Contractor personnel use vehicles for personnel use.
The Contractor shall perform maintenance and repair to Government owned CESE/MHE identified in CESE/MHE inventory list with total numbers varying by +/-5% during the performance period. The Contractor shall provide supply and data entry support for all equipment and vehicles.
Scheduled maintenance shall be conducted in three specific levels identified as “A”, “B”, and “C” based on mileage or time. Standard vehicle safety inspections shall be completed as a specific task on every scheduled maintenance Shop Repair Order (SRO).
Level “A” maintenance shall be completed every 120 calendar days and includes safety inspections, overall equipment mechanical inspection, changing fluids and filters and standard service items shall be serviced and changed in accordance with original equipment manufacturer recommendations. This work shall be annotated on the SRO and recorded in the vehicle maintenance database within three days of final inspection.

Shall be the direct liaison with the government to discuss access to CESE/MHE, maintenance schedules, and use of Government furnished equipment (GFE) if provided.
Qualifications
Shall be available during standard business hours to address issues and workflow.
The Contractor shall have the capacity and technical skills needed to make all levels of repair to suspension, steering, electrical, instrumentation, computer controls, driver controls, brakes, fuel delivery, carburetion and fuel injection, exhaust, and power train systems.
The Contractor shall be capable of repairing electric and manual window mechanisms, vehicle locks, seats, and incorporated electronics.
The Contractor shall be capable of demounting and mounting all sizes of tires and balancing the wheel and tire assembly once mounted. Tire repairs shall include plug insertion, patches, and complete replacement depending upon severity of damage.
The Contractor shall perform welding, metal forming, sheet metal work, minor body, and fender repairs.
The Contractor shall provide maintenance and repair on GSE such as, but not limited to, lawn mowers, pressure washers, tree and brush trimming equipment, generators, compressors, hydraulic attachments and other small portable engine powered tools used to support grounds maintenance work.
Government personnel shall provide GSE equipment requiring service to a respective mechanic. Once the maintenance, repairs and quality control inspections have been completed, the contractor shall return the equipment to a designated holding area.
Shall have a minimum of two (2) years' experience as an Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) mechanic at an automotive dealership, commercial automotive mechanic or have equivalent military experience.

Job Purpose:
The Fabrication team is responsible for machining, bending, and assembling aircraft components, tooling, and other special projects from engineering drawings and specifications. This can include cutting raw material, treatment (corrosion prevention), composite work, and paint in preparation for installation to next higher assembly for aircraft.

Responsibilities:
* Build components for aircraft applications using a variety of sheet metal and composite materials
* Read and comprehend blueprints to complete build and modifications, follow both written and verbal instructions
* Install rivets, nut plates, and other aircraft hardware to specifications following FAA guidelines
* Perform sheet metal forming to tolerances and specifications as dictated in normal aviation practices
* Recognize differences in types of metals including structural strength, thickness standards
* Work with and around a variety of chemicals and follow all OSHA standards regarding PPE
* Perform bath and spray Alodine procedures per proper processes
* Understand and apply FAA standards
* Effectively document job completion paperwork
* Other duties as assigned, including, but not limited to part painting, composite lay-up, and machine shop operations
Skills/Qualifications:
* A&P license preferred
* High school diploma or equivalent
* Previous experience working with sheet metal, or completion of a technical school program in a similar field of study; composite fabrication training a plus
* Painting, CNC machining, and composite lay-up are preferred but not required
* Must provide own basic tools (specialty tools are provided)
* Ability to follow directions and remain on task
* Ability to:
* Lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs.
* Work in hangars/back shops with minimal climate control and occasional outdoor work
